SEMESTER TWO
4th SIX WEEKS
ENGLISH 10
Late/Missing Assignments Policy Changes
Same day– No Late Deduction
Same week – 20% Deduction
Any later– 50% Deduction
NO MISSING ASSIGNMENTS AFTER TEST
40 point assignment1 Week Late= 20%
20% of 40 is EIGHT POINTS
36-40 is an “A” (90%) BUT with late deduction of just 20% an
A becomes 28-32 which is 70-80%
Later than 1 Week Late= 50%
20 out of 40 is still 50% it’s a lot easier to bring a 50 up to passing (60%) than it is to
bring up a 0.
1. You got a 35 out of 40 but you turned it in 1 week late. What is your final score and letter grade?
2. You forgot to do your homework but you remember to jot down some answers during the last 20 mins of study hall. You think you got about half of it done. What should you do?
3. You have some AWESOME answers to all the questions except 1 and its time to turn in the work. What should you do? Turn it in late or turn it in now?
If you miss a day--
It is MY JOB to provide extra copies of the assignments and to listen to students concerns.
It is YOUR JOB to find assignments on the blog or on the back wall.
