Whether you’re a volunteer or a volun-“told”, you are now the

coordinator for your agency. Here are some tips that should help you have a

successful campaign!

Make retention a priority.

Be sure to go back to your previous year’s donors and get

them on board first.

This is really important: it is easier to confirm a past donor

than work on new ones.

This is the challenging part of your campaign and one that most have trouble executing.

Don’t be afraid to enter into this area – it is loaded with

great potential.

The number one reason people don’t give is that they ARE NOT

ASKED!

I cannot afford to give to the campaign. I have not had a raise in XXX years.


Every gift is important to the organization’s ability to help. Every dollar really does count.



We are all fighting the cost-of-living battle and it

seems to get harder every year.

But when you realize that by donating:

A. you can really help the number of people who have some incredibly tough problems to face, and

B. you can help with a donation that could be taken from your paycheck throughout an entire year,

a few dollars a week may become more affordable.



Please remember that the agencies that are supported by the campaign are

also dealing with increased costs.



You have a job,

give help to someone

who doesn’t.

You probably know them!

I don’t use these services – so why should I support them?


You never know when you will need help from an

agency.

Don’t you want them to be there for you when you do?

The great thing about the FSECC is that it provides one

very practical way for

self-sufficient, fortunateindividuals to

give direct help to people who cannot help

themselves.

You don’t fund my favorite agency OR I don’t like that you support xyz agency


First, there are THOUSANDS of organizations that are included in the FSECC book.

Second, all organizations that receive funding from the FSECC must justify their actions annually through a rigorous process to be included in the FSECC book.

If a potential donor feels strongly that a particular agency should not receive a portion of their donation, ask the donor to designate an agency that they would support.

2. Website: has LOTS of info you can use to educate yourself and answer questions that may arise (who are their agencies, how does it work, how can I get involved)

3. Fiscal Agent Staff: WE ARE IN IT WITH YOU, SO USE US! Believe me when I say we have seen it all – use as a resource!
