Synopsys
Distillery produces huge quantity of
condensate water as effluent from different
streams.
This Condensate effluent has high COD
levels.
Present scenario of scarcity of water pushing
industry to adopt 3 R system- Reduce, Reuse
and Recycle
Introduction
System Details
Distillery Capacity 60KL/day
MEE Output/60 KL 380 KL/day
MEE Generate 6.4 liter/ltr of alcohol

Pilot plant Trial Procedure
• Prepared 3 different solutions in 200 litre of tank as follow:
• Added 25 gram of Yeast & 5 ppm of Enzyme in each tank.
• Added 20 ppm of Suchem DT 014 in Tank 1 & 2 each.
• Aeration has given to each tank for Initial 2 hours.
• Parameters (i.e. pH, Specific Gravity, RS, VA, Cellcount, Temp.) has been noted
down of each tank in definite interval.
• After the completion of fermentation process of 36 hours, Alcohol percentage of
each tank along with other parameter has been noted down.

Tank 1 50 KG 77 L 33 L
Tank 2 50 KG 55 L 55 L
Tank 3 50 KG 110 L Nil
Results
pH Sp. Gr. RS VA Alcohol
Tank 1 5.08 1.047 1.86 828 6.80%
Tank 2 5.08 1.047 1.88 857 6.80%
Tank 3 5.08 1.046 1.85 818 6.87%
After the completion of fermentation process in 36 hours
of time duration, the result we get in terms of following
parameter:
Healthy of the cell count found to be same with respect to
the control
Mechanism
Suchem Bio Catalyst (DT 014)
• The product is a synergistic blend of a) Bacteriostatic agents
b) Yeast friendly Nano biocides c) Nutrient for the yeast and d) Codscavenging catalyst. e) Alakaline in nature
• Due to the presence of Nano biocide the product inhibits the growthof volatile acid forming bacteria namely Lactobacillus there by the VA iskept under control.
• The bacteriostatic agent keeps the atmosphere sanitizedcontinuously in spite of the shock loads.
• The cod scavenging additive breaks the cod causing contaminantsthere by the negative impact of Biofouling and reduction in pH levelsare minimized.
Conclusion
• Vapour condensate utilized 50 % as well as 70 %
found to be satisfactory
• pH levels maintained with respect to raw water
• Residual sugar level maintained with in the limits
against blank
• VA level are under control in presence of Bio additive
• Alcohol produced are on par with blank
Hence MEE Condensate treated with Suchem Bio
additive is suitable as diluent in place of raw water.
Conclusion
Application recommendations
Product : Suchem Bio Catalyst
Dosage : 15-20 PPM
Application : Along with molasses dilution
Duration : On continuous basis
Advantage
• Utilization of high COD condensate as per desired
dilution
• Reduced load on ETP operation
• No huge capital investment
• Reduced consumption of raw water
• Effective recycling of water
• All operational parameters maintained same with
respect to raw water during fermentation process
