On behalf of Rincker Simmentals and the Illini Elite Consignors we would like to welcome you to our 13th Annual Illini Elite Sale. It has been a privilege for our family to watch the growth in this annual sale and to witness the commitment from the sale’s consignors to each year find ways to make the genetic offering better and improved from the previous year’s sale. Whether it be viewing Sim/Genetics cattle at a show or watching the SimInfluenced herds across the country, we continue to feel excitement for the real progress being made in both the phenotype and acceptance of our breed’s cattle but also their genetic profile and carcass merit improvements. No doubt the time is right to offer what I believe is the best set of cattle ever offered at an Illini Elite Sale with the growing need and demand for quality cattle and high end genetics.

What an exciting set of cattle being offered by our Illini Elite consignors! As you get the chance to look at the heifer calf pictures and videos, you will find current genetics in heifers that phenotypically bring their “A” game and they will compete! With next year’s AJSA National Classic being hosted just 4 hours away, this “Elite” September sale provides an excellent opportunity to lock in those first place and Champion “big time” females early. Study the matings that made these heifer calves so stellar and you will find great sire and dam selection from great breeders. No doubt, you will also come across donor prospect heifers from these established donor dams and sires mated purposefully.

The bred division of females will be preceded by an exciting set of embryos that again are “cutting edge genetics” and can provide their new owner with high end and competitive offspring. The 2018 Illini Elite offers you the opportunity to purchase genetics from matings with solid pedigrees from current elite sires on the top side and tremendous cows, many of whom are working as donors on the bottom side. Black Diamond Genetics and Breezeway Simmentals is offering some of their elite SimGenetics when they offer for bidding their herd’s primary donor dam, KLS/KKK Skittles, their 2010 AJSA National Champion Cow. What a great opportunity here! She will be followed up with Illini Elite’s best set of bred’s to date and I can safely say that these heifers were mated up masterfully and sticking to their A.I. dates. Primrose is our kind of female. We like the fact she is very complete and hard to punch a hole in with a wonderful disposition. Maternal appearing is the simplest way to describe this 3/4 female as F504 offers plenty of body shape with a smooth muscle pattern and outstanding structural build. Her mother, a Sure Bet daughter, never disappoints at weaning time producing a top performer and this is no exception as this one leads the way for WDA. She is one of the first Lover Boy calves for us and we will use him again. He is a full brother to Quantum Leap, giving her a shot of Right to Love 015U in the pedigree.

The 77Z donor just has not failed on the Broker mating. These cattle are extended and have plenty of rib shape and curvature to the rib. This heifer looks amazing at the stop-long topped, long fronted, and big boned. Don’t forget that Walker Housley, TN, showed her sister in 2017 and found her way into the backdrop on numerous occasions. She a full sister to the two baldies, Lots 1 and 8 and it is my belief that this one fed right, will be in the backdrops as well! This Hairietta Donor dam is really showing her flexibility here. Straight out of the Denver Champion Pen of Bulls, we opted to flush to TKCC Carver and he really proved his worth here with this wide constructed, yet feminine heifer. It is hard to find cattle that have body yet keep their lines but 225F did it well! One of the widest and soundest tracking females in our calf crop with plenty of bone and heal.
