This and Believers Baptism are the only two ordinances that Jesus left with His church. Because of their God-given uniqueness and signif- icance, attendance at these ordinances by Christians is indispensable. God does not call us to do anything that is purposeless or meaningless. If He ordains something, then it is necessary for us to participate in it. Ill also add that anything He commands us to do is meant to bless us, for God is good and does good (Psalm 119:68). Not all blessings are recognized in this life or spiritual blessings always felt. Can you be persuaded simply by the Word of God alone that you need the ordinances of God?
