Washingtonian's WELCoME gUiDE
Washingtonian Media set out to create a comprehensive insider’s guide that would offer visitors and those professionals assisting Washington, DC visitors with information they could not get from average tourist publications. Our objective is to offer recommendations, reviews, and itineraries by The Washingtonian’s stable of experts.
Washingtonian’s experienced critics and writers compiled information on the best attractions in the Washington area—including museums, restaurants, shops, hotels, itineraries and more—in an attractive and upscale publication.
The Welcome Guide is published twice a year and the iPad and mobile editions feature photo galleries, maps, and interactive tools. Six hundred retailers, as well as luxury hotels, US House and Senate Office Buildings and visitors’ centers, distribute 170,000 copies of the Welcome Guide annually. The ipad version of the Welcome Guide has an average of almost 50,000 articles read per issue. Our ipad app sees an average of 8,000 launches each month.
Washingtonian is the magazine Washington lives by - and the Welcome Guide is the premier publication that visitors, newcomers, and residents can't live without!
