Our History• 1933 Lakewood High School opens at the current site of the JEFFCO Open

School at 10th and Wadsworth. The inaugural graduating class was 25

students.

• 1958 Lakewood High School moves to its current address at 9700 W. 8th Ave

• 1996 The International Baccalaureate (IB) Program is authorized

• 2009 LHS – IBPA awards first IB scholarships

• 2012 LHS – IBPA is established as a Colorado Nonprofit Corporation

• 2014 LHS – IBPA is established as an IRS 501(c) (3) Organization

International Baccalaureate Parents Association Membership Has Its Rewards

If you are a member, thank you! If not, please join us!

• Dues: $20 annually

• Support LHS – IBPA programs, including Angel Fund and Scholarships

• Participation in the Community Rewards Program – defray the costs of

IB and AP test fees

• Membership required for families of seniors applying for a scholarship

• Opportunities to volunteer:

o Understand the IB program/Gain exposure

o Show appreciation to faculty and staff

o Provide a resource to the school

o Make connections and friends with other families
