It is so good to have you with us worshipping today at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Whether you are a regular attendee or a first-time visitor, we are blessed to have your presence with us today. When we open our Bi- bles to read the Scripture for the day and meditate on those words, we show God that we love Him with our minds. When we sing in earnest our songs of praise and adoration, we are worshipping with our heart and soul. When we pray and lift up others in prayer, we are exercising our faith and showing God we love him with all our strength. And when we treat each other with genuine kindness, respect, and interest, we are loving our neighbors as ourselves. Guests, please feel free to join us in fellowship and conversation after the service. Members, say hello to our visitors and get to know them this morning. And now let us enter into a worship service that gives all the glory to God. DECEMBER 30, 2018 First Sunday after Christmas WORSHIP Elder Alan Willadsen Organist Doug McQueen Choir Dir. COFFEE HOUR To continue to have a successful coffee hour, there needs to be someone who will be our host for that Sunday morning, start the coffee, set out the refreshments, and a very small clean-up after. If we could encourage each member to sign-up for a Sun-day, then we would have all the Sundays filled until the spring. That would be awesome and then nobody would have to volun-teer for multiple Sundays.

Dorothy Crozier has graciously volunteered to oversee this min-istry and to help out those who volunteer to be the host for that Sunday. So please, take a look at the schedule, and sign up to host one. Don’t let this important gathering fall to the way-side.

If you have any questions or any coffee pot fears, give Dorothy a call at 310-977-4904 CHANCEL FLOWERS The 2019 sign-up sheet is now available in the Narthex. Placing flowers on the chancel for our worship services is a wonderful way to honor someone you love and appreciate or to remem-ber a departed loved one. A NEW YEAR’S BLESSING May God make your year a happy one. Not by shielding you from all sorrows and pain, But by strengthening you to bear it, as it comes; Not by making your path easy, But by making you sturdy to travel any path; Not by taking hardships from you, But by taking fear from your heart; Not by granting you unbroken sunshine, But by keeping your face bright, even in the shadows; Not by making your life always pleasant, But by showing you when people and their causes need you most, And by making you anxious to be there to help.
