Our goal is to serve whole foods and as close to natural foods as part of our reimbursable meals. Our goal is to serve all students a well

balanced and nutritionally sound meal as part of their productive day. We do participate in the National School Lunch & Breakfast Program

We do participated in a co-operative purchasing bid with PRFSD - Pittsburgh

Regional Food Service Association – First & Secondary Bid to have access to high end foods at discounted pricing.

Station #1 - See Monthly Menu for choices - Complete meal served here

Station #1 offers - Traditional Treasures – Hot Complete Meal- print our monthly menu for

choices

Station #2 Made-to-Order Deli Station - students can choice of bread, cheeses and meats- add 1 Fruit and 2 Veggies plus a milk from the

Grab’ n Go Stations to “create a meal” for $2.20 Just a note: at least (1) fruit or veggie must be taken with an entrée to qualify for a meal. If at

least one fruit or veggie is not chosen, the items must be rung at a la carte pricing (rung at a higher price) This is a change in policy from last year.

Grab N Go - students can select up to one fruit and up to two (2) veggies (including hot veggie of the day or potato when offered) plus a milk to create

a meal.

Home-Style Pizza Meal - add 1 fruit and UP TO (2)

veggies (this can include the hot veggie of the day and a milk to create a meal for $2.20

ala carte - Soup & Salad Bar - This is not considered part of a reimbursable meal – but is weighed and charged by the ounce. Soups are priced a la carte and served with

crackers. This station does not count toward a free & reduced meal. Note: There are individual salads/dressing that are offered in the grab n go – that

count when a student is creating a meal.

• It is always encouraged that a Student should “create a meal” - A meal is well balanced and cost effective.

• Snacks , water, yogurt, bagels, soup & salad bar are considered a la carte and priced accordingly.

• If a students owes a delinquent amount – they are not permitted to charge ala carte items.

• Our Snacks do meet the Health US School Challenge Initiative (HUSSC)

About our Snacks

• Students are offered 1 snack per day (after) their lunch is consumed. Snack carts are not offered until near the end of the lunch period.

• Our snacks meet the Healthy US School Challenge – HUSSC – which is a smaller, healthier – baked or fruit based snack.

• Snack are $. 75 cents • Students that owe money will

not be permitted to purchase snacks

• Choices are: Small baked chips, pretzels, popcorn, Minute Maid Shape Up, Sherbet Cups – which are fruit based.

• All accounts should have a positive balance at all times.

• Parents are encouraged to utilize CafePrepay to view child’s acct purchasing habits and balance.

Café Prepay - Parents are encourage to register so that they can view their child's balance and purchasing habits. This is a

service that we offer our district families. It is “FREE” to look at the account history and balance.

Reminder:

Free and Reduced Application- first 30days

Families that were qualified for free & reduced meals last year are automatically qualified for the first 30 days of this school year. After the 30 days, If a new application is not received – the family will be ‘reset’ to paying status until the new application is received and approved. Applications can be submitted throughout the entire school year. Please visit our web site
