MISSIONSSHARE YOUR “UNIQUELY YOU” STORYIn the Mission Guide, which is available at the Information Center in the foyer, there is a section for every month called Uniquely You. These sections are lists of activity suggestions that can open the door for your Christian Witness to a non-believer or a marginal believer. Exactly what you do or how you do it will make it Uniquely You. Wouldn’t it be encouraging for people to hear about each other’s experiences? And wouldn’t it be great to increase the worship of God, by others, just because of what He is doing in and through you? “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” With this in mind, the Board of Missions would like to hear about your experiences. Please email us at [email protected]. The board will only share experiences if we are given permission.

UNIQUELY YOU BOOK REPORTLast week the Mission Board left 12 books at the Information Center and 10 were taken. This week we have five more The Hole in the Gospel books are available and two more Eternity in Their Hearts are available. Please remember to sign them out when you take them and return them when finished.

POWER IN PRAYERNovember 2nd was day 40 of this years 40 Days for Life campaign. God can do a lot in 40 days! Today there are babies alive who were scheduled to be aborted. Instead of becoming abortion statistics, these children will have birthdays in June and July because their moms had a chance to turn around at the very last moment. There are also women who are finding hope and healing after an abortion. Abortion center workers who started this campaign, complained about “those people” outside praying ... before God went to work on their hearts and led them to quit their jobs. Your prayers HAVE made a difference!

WHERE DOES YOUR MITE MONEY GO?25% of mite donations go toward the National LWML Mission Grants. 75% of all mite donations go toward the Central Illinois District Mission Grants. The Central Illinois District’s goal for the years 2014-2015 is $60,000. This is money divided between 6 different grants. The largest grant ,$25,000, is given to students who are studying to become full time church workers. We thank you and Praise the Lord for your continued support of these missions.

Simply put, God blesses mites. About 65 years ago, Redeemer was on the receiving end of Mites with a $10,000 gift. The Mission Board hopes twice as many Redeemer members or families will join this November. The loose change, dollar bills, and checks that are given to this mission do amazing things and are greatly appreciated by mission projects in central Illinois, as well as around the world. Do you think we can collect $1400? Who needs change? Someone does!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILDNOW is the time to turn our hearts toward helping young children abroad, to know the LOVE of Jesus Christ. You have two opportunities to help: Pick up a shoe box in the Reception area, fill, and return by November 16th. Or, bring in donations to fill multiple boxes at the KFC/SLAM Getting Ready for Christmas Party on November 14th, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. All Sunday School offerings for the next three weeks will support Operation Christmas Child. We are excited to be able to share our joy with these children....won’t you consider joining us in this adventure? Questions? Call Sheila at 693-9214 or Jen at 691-2333 ext. 31.

A few of the suggested items are: dolls, deflated soccer ball with pump, stuffed animals, cars, musical instruments, puzzles, jump ropes, etc. School supplies are wonderful!
