IGNITE 2011: Speakers

Darrell Miller

Darrell Miller is the Director of Major League Baseball’s Urban Youth Academy. After a five-year career as a player in Major League Baseball with the California Angels, and convert to the faith, Darrel is now a dynamic evangelical speaker who loves to share his testimony and faith far and wide. Darrel is a board member of Catholic Athletes for Christ and was a participant in the Vatican’s first ever conference on Sports in 2005. He is also a speaker in defense of the Catholic faith sharing his conversion story at Catholic conferences and adult retreats around the world.

IGNITE 2011: SpeakersMonsignor Jim Lisante

Msgr. Lisante is the pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Massapequa Park, NY, and has authored four books, including: Of Life and Love, Let’s Talk, Personally Speaking, and The Power of One. Long active in the popular media, he has hosted several national television programs and is currently launching a new television show, Close Encounter, which will appear nationally on PBS in the near future. Monsignor Jim is the host of a weekly radio program called Personally Speaking. His columns have appeared in over 300 newspapers.

IGNITE 2011: SpeakersGus Lloyd

Gus grew up in a Catholic family, but as a teen, fell away from his faith. After worshiping at a non-denominational church, Gus and his wife decidedto look at the Catholic Church again, and saw the Bible come to life! Gus felt the calling to become a Catholic evangelist and hosted a Catholic radio show in Tampa, FL where he was the morning host for 10 years. In 2006, Gus began hosting the morning show on the new Catholic Channel on Sirius Satellite Radio. He speaks at conferences and parishes around the country on topics ranging from spirituality to apologetics to being a Catholic in today’s world.
