It’s finally here! Wow, after a brutal winter that lasted through April, I hope you’re soaking up the summer sun and enjoying this amazing outdoor weather. From relaxing to recharging, we have a wide variety of opportunities for you and your family to stay connected at Highpoint this summer, all while growing in your faith and community.
Summer is a great time to check out a group for the first time at a casual grill out, invite a friend to a kids or students summer camp that just might change their life or dip your toe into the waters of serving at Highpoint.
From conferences to camps to group events, I want to personally challenge you to carve out space and time this summer to go deeper in your relationship with God so you can continue becoming more like Him!
Summertime is always gone before we know it, so don’t let this special time of year pass you by without taking advantage of some of the many ways you can believe, belong and become more like Jesus.
And…don’t forget, we meet EVERY weekend in the summer too!
In His Strength,
Pastor Ron Zappia Lead Pastor 5

THREE STEPS TO MAKE HIGHPOINT YOUR CHURCH HOME.
STEP 1 | Meet We want to meet you! Get to know some of our pastors, staff
and others who are new at a casual meet-and-greet. Step 1
normally takes place the first weekend of the month directly
following each service at all campuses.
STEP 2 | ConnectConnect to the core of our church by taking a closer look at
who we are, what we’re passionate about and what it means to
believe, belong and become like Jesus. This 60-minute study
normally takes place the second weekend of the month before
or after services at each campus.
STEP 3 | CommitIn this final step, you’ll commit to making Highpoint your
church home by becoming a member, joining a group and
finding a place to serve. This step normally takes place the third
weekend of the month at each campus.

WelcomeWHEATON CAMPUS!LAUNCHING FALL 2018ONE CHURCH. MULTIPLE LOCATIONS.Back in 2017, an incredible opportunity presented itself: First
Baptist Wheaton was exploring the possibility of merging with
a local church upon the retirement of their senior pastor. After
much prayer and consideration on both parties’ ends, it became
increasingly clear that our churches could be better together. On
Mother’s Day Weekend 2018, First Baptist Wheaton had majority
vote to merge with Highpoint Church.
This partnership means increased ministry focus on caring for
refugees in Dupage county, leveraging the impact of the thriving
Toddler’s Campus Pre-school and expanding our global reach
through international missionaries all while reaching the city of
Wheaton and beyond.
We anticipate a grand opening of the Wheaton Campus this Fall
and want to invite you to consider helping us launch if you live in
the Wheaton area. If you are interested in learning more, please
email, [email protected].

Whether you are beginning your faith journey or have been walking with God for a long time, we all have steps we need to take to become more like Christ. Groups are the perfect place to do this and are about getting out of a row on the weekend and into a circle throughout the week.
Even though groups look a little different during summertime, there’s still plenty of opportunities to connect! Groups and campuses will host a variety of casual, come-and-go as you please events called Summer Connect events—from grill outs to block parties to serving the community, we hope you check out a new group or stay connected to your current group to experience authentic community throughout the summer!
To get more information on all the groups we offer throughout a ministry year, head to highpoint.church/groups. If you are interested in becoming an apprentice, leader or coach, head to highpoint.church/serve.
Church shouldn’t just happen on the weekend, it should be a week-long experience—but it can’t be done alone—get in a group!

For some, sharing the gospel is a dim memory. For others, it’s an archaic command. For others, it’s the call of a few. For too many, it’s hard, filled with fear, uncertainty, and a lack of feeling prepared. What all of these views lack is the rock-solid truth that God has called all of us, God will equip us, and God will do the work. When we take our eyes off ourselves, God is lifted high for all to see.
Amplify 2018 will allow us to strip out the complexities of gospel witness and reveal the simplicity of the gospel that overcomes all barriers. Christ crucified. Christ lifted high. Our world made new.
