WELCOME TO 2016!!!! JANUARY 2016 BUCKEYE BREEZE Hello Sisters: Hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and a great New Year’s Eve. I hope Santa was nice to you and no one ended up with coal in their stocking. If you made a New Year’s resolution, stick to it. I made one or two and I certainly plan on keeping them. I haven’t had to travel a lot the month of December or so far in January, I kind of miss it and miss getting to visit with the Auxiliary Sisters. On November 21 st I traveled to Beverly #3665 for their anniversary. Met up with Past State President, Connie Arnold, at the Aerie home and she took me to see her house that was all decorated. If that didn’t put me in the Christmas spirit nothing would have. Thank you, Connie, and all the Brothers and Sisters at your Aerie who made all of us feel right at home. On this little trip, I was accompanied by the State Membership Chairman, Roxann McCain, Central Zone State Trustee, MaryAnn Hagans, and my faithful driver, Joyce Richards; we all have so much fun traveling together. After leaving Beverly, we headed to Zanesville Aerie for 3 rd State VP Minda Bess’ reverse raffle. Great Job, Minda, so very proud of you! A wonderful turnout and as usual Zanesville made everyone feel right at home. On November 27th I traveled to Lexington, Kentucky for Thanksgiving weekend with my two daughters. My, what a spread my daughter Nancy cooked up for all of us. I got to be with two of my granddaughters, two grandsons, and two of my great grandsons; I was a happy camper. On December 1 st I headed out to Indian Lake #3615, for their Christmas Party. Thank you Barb Shahan for all the great food, gifts, and all around good time. On this trip I was met by Pam Kohlrieser, Roxann McCain, Pat Kovalak and Judy Curtis was with me. Again, thanks for your donation to the Fisher House for our Veterans. On December 5 th , I traveled to Bellefontaine Eagles for our Central Zone Christmas Party; it was so good to be among my Central Zone Brothers and Sisters to celebrate Christmas. We also had visitors: Roxann McCain and Pam and Kenny Kohlrieser. I visited with John and Judy Kempton, Harry and JoAnn West, and Tom King, great seeing them all attending. Planning now for State Officers’ Night in Ashland, can’t wait to see all you Brothers and Sisters that weekend. Don’t forget to get your dinner tickets and to book your motel rooms. There are two motels listed, Holiday Inn and Quality Inn; they are across the street from one another and both good motels. I will be at the Quality Inn, hope to see some of you there. Our State Membership Chairman says that Ohio is still #1; sure am glad to hear that. Keep up the good work District Leaders, Charity Chairmen, and all our Auxiliary Sisters, I know you are the ones that make this State President look good and I am so proud of all of you. Grand Madam Vice President, PSP Helen Poehner, recently had a knee replacement. She is currently in therapy. If you would like to send her a card wishing her well, her address is: 4207 Harding Avenue Cincinnati, OH 45211

MAUMEE GIVES TO ONE WAY FARM Maumee Elves were very busy in November trying to fill “Christmas Wishes” for the children at One Way Farm Children’s Home. They were very successful with the following gifts: 20 pairs of slippers, 10 pairs of hiking boots, 10 pairs of UGGs, 20 cologne sets, and 20 shirts/t-shirts, digital watches, headphones, ear buds, and etc. We had a “Christmas Bag” for each of the 20 children. Connie Blomme, Betty Seymour and Diana Nickens delivered the Christmas Gifts to One Way Farm on Sunday, December 6th along with the schools supplies for the remaining school year collected by District #14 Auxiliaries. Mark your calendar the One Way Farm Luncheon will be Saturday, April 23rd. We would like everyone to wear their “One Way Farm T-shirt” to the Luncheon. If you are interested in purchasing a T-shirt, please contact Connie at 419 343-8586 or Diana at 419 410-3691. Thanks everyone for supporting these children!

OFFENSIVE LINEMAN SCHOOL FOR BLIND REQUEST

I would like to thank State Madam President, Gwen, for my assignment as NW Zone Chairman for School for the Blind. As you all know, a charity person needs all of your help to raise funds. I won’t ask a whole lot, but Sisters, please send $1.00 to Debbie Sharp, Secretary. If everyone sends a dollar it would go a long way. I thank you in advance, for your help. Janice Shaw, Lima #370, 1146 Crestwood Drive, Lima, OH 45805

Those of you who were at our banquet at our State Convention this past June will remember Barb Sutton, the great storyteller! I am sad to report she had a very bad stroke and is not doing well at all. She definitely needs our prayers. Also, PSP Paddy Rawlins has been Barb's good friend since she was 11, and is having a very hard time dealing with this. Please remember Paddy in your prayers too. Cards can be sent to Barb--Paddy said her sister will get them to her. Thank you very much. Barb Sutton P. O. Box 39155 North Ridgeville, OH 44039

The Stadium Breeze gives us all important information. Send your $20.00, name and address to Debbie Sharp, State Auxiliary Secretary, if you wish to receive it. Any information can be sent to me by the 15th of each month. Any play you think would enhance this year and our team, please forward to this reporter. Secretaries, please remember to post the Breeze for all of your team members to read. Your Media Reporter, Judy Kempton
