• There are different themes that we will cover each unit. We will start with Changes.

NYS ELA TEST Some Answers to your Questions…

• WHO? Every 3rd grade student in New York State

• What? The test consists of 3 Sections: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary and Reading/Writing

• Why? To find out our strengths and weaknesses in ELA

• Test Dates? April 5, 6, and 7

Handwriting

• We will be practicing our handwriting

• We will learn all our cursive letters

• The students will each receive a handwriting book.

Math

The district adopted Envision Math. This program helps align with the common core. I will send home math homework after I taught the lesson. I will let the students know when they will have a test so they can review at home. You can always do the re-teaching side of the math sheet to help your son/daughter before they complete the practice side.
