You MUST have your agenda every day in every class.

Your agenda is your pass to the bathroom, the nurse, another teacher – anywhere out of the classroom.

Your discipline plan is in your agenda. I will keep a copy as well.

If you lose your agenda, you must get a new one the next morning. The cost is $5.00 and you get it from the bookkeeper in the front office.

Coming into the classroomQuietly come in and sit at your

assigned seat.There will be a warm-up on the

overhead for you to do in your interactive notebook or on a white board provided.

Sharpen pencils as needed.

Exiting the classroomAll supplies will be returned, your

seats will be neat and everyone will be sitting quietly at their desk.

I will dismiss you by tables. You will exit out the back door

and get in a line. The line leader will then walk you around the back hall to your next class.

What to do if you are absentCheck the blog Before completing your warm-up,

check a neighbor’s interactive notebook and copy into your own notebook.

In the stacked shelves, take a copy of the work from the day you missed (marked M-F)

If you need to use the restroom

Do not ask to leave the room the first 15 minutes of class or the last 15 minutes (per school policy).

Do not ask during instruction time. Get your agenda out and open to the

day’s date. Raise your hand and ask to go.

If you need to get out of your desk…

To sharpen a pencil – raise your hand to ask.

To throw something away – wait until instruction time is over and then raise your hand and ask.

Turning in assignments We will have an assigned person who

will collect work. Homework will be collected at the

beginning of class. As soon as you come in, you should get out your homework and then begin the warm up.

If you are absent, in the front left of the class, under the flag, there are trays marked with each period. Place your work in the tray for YOUR PERIOD.

and content. It can be either a composition

notebook or a spiral bound notebook.

Line leader – in charge of leading the class through fire drills, to and from lunch, and out of the classroom every day.

Information distributor – passes out all handouts and supplies. Works with the supply artist

Information procurer – takes up all materials (including homework and assignments).

Supply artist – in charge of my pencils, and any supplies the class needs for the day. Works with the information distributor.

Greeter – in charge of welcoming people into the classroom. Telling them what is going on in the room and answering any of their questions.
