Upon arrival, Police spoke with the driver of the vehicle, Michael Harris, who reported his vehicle was out of fuel. I transported Mr. Harris to a nearby gas station for fuel. Mr. Harris was able to get his vehicle started and was on his way. Upon arrival, Police spoke with the driver of the vehicle, Michael Harris, who reported his vehicle was out of fuel. I transported Mr. Harris to a nearby gas station for fuel. On 07/29/2018 at 08:30 hours, Officer Frazier (68396) reported a memo at 3700 Cherryton Dr. A caller called in stating that she was in an argument with her boyfriend. This came from a phase 2 location. Police checked the surrounding area but were never able to discover anything out of the ordinary.

On 07/29/2018 at 10:02 hours, Officer Retchko (66992) reported a memo at 1 E 11th St. Upon arrival police spoke with complainant William Donehue who stated that he had an friend, Pam Simon, over last night and she got drunk. He stated that she started playing with a pocket knife while in her intoxicated state and accidentally put a small nick on his arm while he took the knife away from her. He stated he just wanted her to stay away from him in the future and he plans to talk to management of Patten Towers about her. Police attempted to go to Pam Simon's room but she did not answer her door. Nothing further at this time.

On 07/29/2018 at 10:36 hours, PIT Glenn, Clifton (60757) responded by telephone on report of a Theft of Vehicle Parts/Accessories at 701 Mansion Cir. I spoke with Jasmine Boyd. She says that sometime during the night, an unknown party stole TN off of her 2010 Mazda 6. The plate has been entered into NCIC # P316609029.

5398 Bungalow Cir18-071772 7/29/2018 12:01:00AM 23F Theft from Motor Vehicle

On 07/29/2018 at 10:46 hours, PIT Glenn, Clifton (60757) responded by telephone on report of a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 5398 Bungalow Cir. I spoke with the victim, Kimberly Hays. She says that sometime during the night, an unknown party entered her 2015 Honda Accord LX rifled all through it and stole $65.00 cash, a Discover card, a Regions Bank check card, 5 gift cards and a small zippered purse. She says that she has already canceled the Discover and Regions cards. She says she has already printed out a temporary copy of her driver license.

On 07/29/2018 at 12:00 hours, Officer Retchko (66992) reported a memo at 150 River St. Police were dispatched to a suspicious person who was talking to himself and making people in the park feel uncomfortable. Police located the subject at 100 Fraizer Ave. Police identified the subject as Nicholas McGahee. Mr. McGahee was talking about how he had a law suit going and once he won it he was going to be a millionaire. He stated that he had an eye doctor appointment. Police found Mr. McGahee to be doing nothing illegal and released him. Nothing further at this time.

On 07/29/2018 at 13:40 hours, PIT Glenn, Clifton (60757) responded via telephone on report of a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 5530 Seagrove Ln. I spoke with the victim, Megan Holmes. She says that during the night, an unknown party entered her 2012 Nissan Versa and rummaged through it. She says she had a backpack in the vehicle which the unknown emptied out and took. She says nothing else was taken. She also stated that there was no damage to the vehicle.

On 07/29/2018 at 18:00 hours, Officer Layne, Dakota (77578) reported a memo at 4208 Melinda Dr. Police have been dispatched to this alarm over twenty seven times since July 1st of this year. Every time the residence has been secured and been a false alarm with the homeowner not on scene. Police have attempted to locate a responsible for the alarm and have been unsuccessful. This alarm is a nuisance and police will not continue to respond until a responsible is reached from either the alarm company or dispatch. The on duty Sgt has also attempted to contact the alarm company and they are clear we will not be responding. Police also spoke to the neighbors who state the resident leaves right before police show up to the residence. No further

On 07/29/2018 at 19:12 hours, Officer B. Baker (79856) responded to a Credit Card Fraud at 4711 Brainerd Rd. Upon arrival I spoke with Linda Kukura who stated that her credit card info had been used to make 2 purchases at 4711 Brainerd Rd totaling $134.00. After reviewing video from the store, 2 suspects were seen using the card. Suspect #1 is a B/M in his 30's about 6 foot tall, medium build, short hair and beard, wearing a NY Yankees jersey with #51 on the back. Suspect #2 is a B/M in his 20's about 5 foot 9 inches tall, slim build, no facial hair wearing a white shirt with a multicolor skull on front. Linda still has the physical card, only the info was stolen from the card. Nothing further

On 07/29/2018 at 18:50 hours, Officer C. Hargraves (79876) reported a field interview at 1020 W 37th St. Officers were searching the area for a suspicious party described as a B/M with a red and blue polo shirt. Officers got out with James Kelly who matched the description. Kelly stated he was walking to a friends house in Alton Park. No criminal activity was taking place. Nothing further.

On 07/29/2018 at 19:23 hours, Officer Day (79891) responded to a disorder at the Quik Stop located at 1302 N Holtzclaw Ave. Upon arrival, I spoke with one of the owners, Si Cho. Mr. Cho stated a heavier set, African-American lady came in and start causing a disturbance. Before she left, she knocked over a chip display. Mr. Cho did not know her name, but says she has bought stuff there before. Mr. Cho was wanting to make a report of this, so he can trespass this individual from his property. Nothing further.

On 07/29/2018 at 19:07 hours, Sgt Kendon Massengale (62201) reported a memo at 282 S Germantown Rd. While in the area of 3700 Navajo Dr looking for a male party unconscious, I located a male walking at 282 S Germantown Rd in the middle lane. He was holding onto a bicycle and appeared to be having problems walking. I asked if he was ok and he said he had a stroke in the past. His skin was pale and it appeared he was too hot so I called for EMS. Medic 11 responded and checked out the party and he was not transported to the hospital. He was assisted into his house at 227 S Germantown Rd without incident.

On 07/29/2018 at 21:11 hours, Officer Doub (79522) reported a memo at 2315 Daisy St. Police responded to a possible disorder at the above address. Police located a female, later identified as Ms. Joy Giles, who was sitting on the front porch of the home. Ms. Giles had multiple beer cans around her person and seemed extremely intoxicated. Ms. Giles stated that a male party by the name of Leonard that lives with her was inside the home and locked her out. Police initially attempted to make contact at the front and rear of the residence to try and speak with Mr. Leonard. After this attempt, police returned to Ms. Giles and asked if she knew if Mr. Leonard was inside the residence. Ms. Giles stated she was unsure but she believes he is. Police took the keys Ms. Giles had in her hand and were able to enter the residence after unlocking the door with her key. Police searched the residence in attempt to locate the male party. Police were unable to locate any occupants inside the residence and Ms. Giles went inside for the night. No further to report.

On 07/29/2018 at 21:25 hours, Officer C. Hargraves (79876) reported a field interview at 3734 Dorris St. Officers got out with a Red Kia parked improperly on the corner of Dorris and 38th St. Officers made contact with the Owner/Driver Shawnterra Parmes. She informed officers she was just spending time with her friends in her car. Officers issued her warnings concerning the improper parking, wrong address on her license, and the illegal tinted cover over her tag. Officers had noticed the vehicle parked improperly at this location earlier in the day but were unable to make contact due to responding to a call. Nothing further at this time.

On 07/29/2018 at 21:49 hours, Officer Jonathan Scoggins (75428) reported a memo at 3600 6th Ave. Once on scene I made contact with Claudia Broome who said a man named Ken Stone took her vehicle for repair around 1300 on the above date. Claudia has not been able to get in touch with Ken and has even gone by his house at 3506 5th Ave. Claudia is wanting a report made about Ken taking her vehicle for repair just in case he decides not to return the vehicle and it needs to be reported stolen. The vehicle is a 1998 Buick Le Sabre bearing .

On 07/29/2018 at 22:05 hours, Officer Z. Lloyd (79530) was flagged down at 1 E 11th St. Upon making contact with the complainant, Patavia Lowery, she told police that she got into a verbal disorder. Patavia said she was arguing and being threatened by a young black male with a cross tattooed on his forehead. Police relocated to Patten Towers, but were unable to make contact. At this time there is no further incidents to report.

On 07/30/2018 at 00:25 hours, Officer Veloz (75390) reported a field interview 1096 Lupton Dr. I initiated contact with Jennifer Adams who was sitting in her car. Jennifer stated that she was upset with her boyfriend and that she left her home because she needed some time away from him. Jennifer was not suicidal or that angry just needed a place to calm down before returning home. Jennifer said she would be leaving back to her house in a few minutes. Nothing further to report.

On 07/30/2018 at 00:45 hours, Officer Veloz (75390) report suspicious activity at 5214 Donlyn Ln. Upon arrival to the scene, I spoke with Mrs. sheila who informed me that her son was hearing noises outside the home According to Sheila it sounded like someone was knocking on the siding of the house. Sheila also stated that she saw what appeared to be a small flashlight that was shining through the back door. When we arrived Police could not locate any indication that someone had been there outside the home. Police checked the area but didnt locate anyone.

On 07/30/2018 at 03:04 hours, Officer Dessalines, Benjamin (77570) reported a memo at 3902 Blanchard St. Upon arrival, police made contact with the complainant (Ms. Keaiasha Starr) who stated that she heard a loud noise in the living room so, she went down to check and that’s when she observed her fiancé laying in the living room. Ms. Starr stated that she tried to wake him up but he was too heavy and he was not moving so, she poured water on him and called 911. Ms. Starr stated that a few minutes later he then woke up a bit confused. Mr. Darrell Easting appeared to be intoxicated and he also stated to police that he had a stressful day, he was just enjoying a few drinks in the living room.

On 07/30/2018 at 03:48 hours, Officer Piazza (70792) reported a memo at 8509 Brandermill Ln. Police were called by complainant Marlona Seguin in reference to her daughter and friend (Abigail Seguin and Brooke Dew) house sitting at this location. The house sitters claimed to hear noises in the home and believed that a person had entered the home and was upstairs. Police then cleared the home and located no persons in the home. On 07/30/2018 at 05:42 hours, Officer Dessalines, Benjamin (77570) was dispatched to an improper parked vehicle at 103 S Sweetbriar Ave. Upon arrival, police locate a white truck (NC ) parked in the middle of the road. The owner of the vehicle walked outside of the house and identified himself as Mr. Edward Park. Mr. Park stated that he does not know what happened but the truck rolled down the hill while he was seating inside. Mr. Park stated that he could not find the keys and he could not push it himself back up. Police assisted Mr. Park to push the vehicle up his drive way. The vehicle came back negative stolen and Mr. Park did not have any active warrants.

On 07/30/2018 at 07:07 hours, PIT Glenn, Clifton (60757) responded by telephone on report of a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 3873 Dixie Cir. I spoke with Scott Smith, owner of a 2007 Nissan Altima. He says that his vehicle was parked on the side of the street during the night, when an unknown party entered it and stole his backpack and its contents. He says the HP laptop computer is property of his employer, Chattanooga Home Inspectors. He says the information on the laptop is currently unavailable, but, will call back once he has that information.

7017 Shallowford Rd18-072059 7/30/2018 9:02:00AM 240 MVT/Passenger Vehicle

On 07/30/2018 at 08:30 hours, Officer William Bernitt (77564) responded to a MVT/Passenger Vehicle at 7017 Shallowford Rd. at the Baymont Inn. Upon arrival police spoke with Audrey Mills who stated her vehicle had been stolen. Ms. Mills stated she had stayed the night at the Baymont Inn and when she woke up in the morning her vehicle was gone. Ms. Mills stated she did not know if she had possibly dropped her keys somewhere because she was so tired yesterday when she settled into her room. The vehicle is a maroon 2008 Suzuki Grand Bataan compact SUV. MI . Ms. Mills stated the license plate is a handicap tag. The vehicle was put into NCIC# V540487669 and a BOLO was put out for the vehicle on all three channels. No suspect information is known at this time. Nothing further.

On 07/30/2018 at 08:12 hours, PIT Glenn, Clifton (60757) responded by telephone on report of a Vandalism at 2011 Vine St. I spoke with Vilna Cross, owner of a 2014 Ford Mustang convertible. He says that his vehicle was keyed on the driver side from front to rear while parked in his driveway. He says this happened sometime during the night. He says he has no idea as to who did this, nor, why.

On 07/30/2018 at 08:30 hours, Officer Frazier (68396) reported a memo at 324 S Germantown Rd. Upon arrival, police spoke with Sarah Frazier. Sarah stated to police that she and her boyfriend had been in an argument, and she had walked away from the Super 8 on Ringgold Road. She stated that she did not feel well, so police contacted Medic 11, who arrived on scene to evaluate Sarah. Medic 11 stated that she was okay. Police gave Sarah a ride to Honeysuckle Lane in East Ridge, and told her told her to contact East Ridge Police Department for further assistance.

Both parties said it was just a verbal argument that started with them getting evicted. Both parties said there was no physical altercation and that the argument was over.

On 07/30/2018 at 11:40 hours, Officer McCall (62872) reported a misc. at 4833 Hixson Pike. Upon arrival, police spoke to the complainant Dhermesh Patel. Mr. Patel said that a friend of his (James Hall) used to work with him at the Quality Inn. Mr. Patel said while they worked together, he purchased a 1999 Toyota for Mr. Hall to drive. Mr. Patel said that Mr. Hall moved to Nashville a while back and recently passed away. Mr. Patel said the vehicle is registered in his name and he is unsure what happened to the vehicle. Mr. Patel just wanted to make sure that nothing would come back on him since the vehicle is registered in his name.

On 07/30/2018 at 12:22 hours I, Officer King (78347), responded to a Other Theft/Non-Specific at 1909 Duncan Ave. Upon arrival I spoke to the complainant/victim, Mr Phillip Udhe. Mr. Udhe stated that he has had several items stolen from the construction site of a house that he is currently working on. Mr. Udhe said that he has had 8 bottle jacks, 3 clamps, a tape measure, and a flash light taken from the construction site. Mr. Udhe said that he suspects a former disgruntled employee, Derek Burk, may be the one taking the items but he does not have any evidence at this time. At the time of this report there is no suspect information. No further police action was taken.

The car stayed there overnight and this morning at about 7:30 am, she discovered that some items had been moved around inside the car but nothing was stolen as far as she can tell. On 07/30/2018 at 13:51 hours, Officer Glenn, Clifton (60757) reported a memo at 18 Lynnolen Ln. I spoke with Karen Sullivan. She says that on 07/19/2018, a duplicate Chase VISA credit card was issued and mailed to her residence while she was out of town. She says that an unknown party called Chase and requested the duplicate card and had all of her information, including her social security number. Ms. Sullivan stated that she i in the midst of a divorce and her estranged husband has a girlfriend who could possibly have had access to her personal information. She says that on 07/24/2018 at 1030 hours, an attempt to use the replacement card was made at Sam's Club in Brookhaven GA, store # 6643. She says the attempt was for $11,800.00. She says that this morning at 1051 hours a second attempt was made at the same Sam's Club on the amount of $6,643.00. Ms. Sullivan says both transactions were rejected. Ms.;Sullivan has since, canceled the card and placed a fraud alert on her credit record. I recommended that she go to FTC.GOV and rear the information on protecting herself against identity theft. She says as a result, she has not suffered a financial loss.

The complainant told me he observed an older black male take a back pack from the display shelf and put tools worth about $200 in it. The suspect then left the store without paying for the merchandise. He got into a blue sedan and left the scene. The complainant did not get a tag number. No other police action taken.

Police made contact with a Mr. Anthony Williams who stated he and his wife, Mrs. Bernadette Britt both allowed a male by the name John Tyler to stay at their residence due to Mr. Tyler going through rough times. Mr. Williams stated that Saturday, Mr. Tyler stole his cell phone without permission but did bring it back later that evening. Mr. Williams stated he and Mrs. Britt forgave Mr. Tyler and wanted to give him another chance. Mr. Williams stated that around 0830hrs, Mr. Tyler stated he was leaving for work. Mrs. Britt stated when she woke up, she noticed her cell phone was taken from the counter. Mrs. Britt stated she asked Mr. Williams if he knew where her phone was but Mr. Williams stated he did not have it. Mrs. Britt stated she believes Mr. Tyler took her phone before leaving for work. Mrs. Britt stated she wants to give Mr. Tyler the benefit of the doubt and not prosecute at this time. Mrs. Britt stated she wants to wait and see if Mr. Tyler returns the phone after he gets home from work this evening. Mrs. Britt stated if he does not return the phone, she will call back in the morning to speak with an officer. Mrs. Britt described her Android cell phone to be large with a pink/gray case. The complainant told me some of his employees took a washer and dryer out back of the store to clean them up. At about 1600 an unknown person came to the back of the store and took the items. The complainant did not have any suspect information. No other police action taken.

Officers spoke with Ms, Mathews who stated she arrived home and there wads an unknown white male sitting on the steps of an outbuilding in front of her home. Complainant stated she parked ,went inside and the doorbell rang. Complainant stated the young white asked for a cigarette and she told him she didn't smoke. He then asked for a light and again was told she didn't smoke. Complainant stated she closed the frt door and the subject went towards the side of her home looking at things and then left the property. Complainant stated she observed him attempt to open a car door across the street by pulling on the handle before walking down Lee hwy. Officers checked the area and did not locate this subject. Officers will continue to monitor the area.

Mr. St. Stair stated that a white male with a white shirt came into the store at approximately 1900 hours. The male quickly went into the store and then walked out with a power tool concealed underneath his shirt. The male then got into a Maroon 2011 Kia Soul ( ) and took off. I attempted to use the information from the license plate to identify the suspect, however, I was unable to do so. There is no other suspect information in this case. Nothing further.

Police met with Alisha Houston who stated that Letitia Barber has been calling, texting and indirectly bothering her. She stated that she was in a relationship with Barbers husband and it has caused Barber to bother her. She stated she is no longer in a relationship with her husband and just wants her to stop communicating with her. Police spoke with Barber over the telephone and Barber made similar statements saying that she has been doing the same thing to her. Both parties stated they would no longer talk with each other and leave each other alone.

Mr. Porch stated his cousin came over on Saturday and moved his garbage can to another location on his property knowing it would be difficult for Mr. Porch to move back due to being disabled. On 07/31/2018 at 00:04 hours, Officer Dorman (75380) responded to a Shoplifting at 3131 Broad St. Upon arrival, police made contact with the complainant Christy Gibson, an employee at the Delta Express. She informed police that a customer told her a man was shoplifting beer. Ms. Gibson then saw the man, black male wearing a red bulls hat and a red shirt, with a three pack of Budweiser in his pants. He then went to the front counter. Ms. Gibson informed him to put the beer back and that he was trespassed from the property. The man then left the store without returning the beer. The complainant was unable to get a hold of her manager to decided if they wanted to press charges at this time. The value of the stolen beer was $6.49.

Police found the male at 3210 broad wearing a red bulls hat and red shirt. Police identified the male as Horace Moore. Police found Moore to be in possession of the Budweiser 3 pack still in its original packaging. Moore admitted to police that he did not pay for the beer in his possession. Police informed Moore that he was trespassed from the Delta Express. Police then returned the property to the complainant at the Delta Express. Nothing further to report at this time.

On 07/30/2018 at 23:50 hours, Officer Dorman (75380) responded 3210 Broad St in relation to a shoplifting that occurred at 3131 Broad St at the Delta Express. Police observed the suspect in the shoplifting on the property with the beer that was stolen. Police identified that male as Horace Moore. The victim did not want to press charges at this time. Horace Moore was found only to have a non-extraditable warrant out of another jurisdiction.

While on scene at 3210 Broad St, Tom McClennon, an employee at Lookout Mountain Suites, informed police that Horace Moore did not have a room there and wanted him trespassed from the property. Police informed Horace Moore that he was trespassed from Lookout Mountain Suites and that if he returned he would be subject to arrest. Horace Moore then left the property. Nothing further to report at this time.

On 07/31/2018 at approximately 01:14 hours, Officer Caleb Brooks (62866) responded to a suspicious activity call at 2702 12th Ave. Upon arrival I spoke to Mrs. Shamekia Moore who stated that her 15 year old son and his friend were outside playing earlier when an unknown white van came down the street between 2100 and 2200 hours. She stated that her son told her that the van stopped and the man began messing with the kids before getting back in his van to drive off. I spoke with her son as well who stated that the male was an older black male with grayish hair. He stated that the old man said, " I'm going to get you kids". He stated that the man then attempted to grab his friend when they ran. This block was added to the watch list for at least a week in order to keep a lookout for the suspicious van on second shift hours. No further at this time.

On 07/31/2018 at 05:20 hours, Officer Cameka Bruce (63167) responded to a MVT/Other at 6308 Highway 58 (Discount Supply). Upon arrival, I spoke with the victim/complainant, Clinton Wilborn, who reported his 2014 White Freightliner (26ft box-shaped) truck (approx. 24,000 value) was stolen from the parking lot of his business. Mr. Wilborn stated there was a 2014 Bobcat T630 (approx. 40,000 value) and 6 pallets of fishing and outdoor merchandise valued at approximately 20,000. Those items were inside the truck. The owner only has working cameras inside the establishment but none captured outside where the vehicle was stolen. Mr. Wilborn reported he possibly left the vehicle unlock but he has possession of the keys to the vehicle. At the time of reporting, the owner could not provide information to enter the vehicle or Bobcat into NCIC. I contacted Hamilton County info channel as well as Walker County dispatch where the vehicle is currently registered in an attempt to gather information regarding the truck. I was unsuccessful with both agencies. The items were valued over $100,000. Due to victim unable to provide VIN or Registration information regarding the vehicle, it could not be entered into NCIC. A BOLO was sent out jurisdictional wide. Car 335 (Inv. Cooper) was notified of the incident.

On 08/01/2018 at 06:59 hours, Officer Roth (63831) wrote a continuation/supplement for a MVT/Passenger Vehicle at 5751 Uptain Rd. The vehicle was located at 2201 E. 23rd St. The vehicle had been wrecked into a carport sustaining heavy damage to the front end, windshield, and undercarriage. The vehicle was undriveable. Expressway Towing responded to the scene and towed the vehicle. The occupants fled prior to police arrival. There is no suspect information at this time. The NCIC Clerk on duty removed the vehicle from NCIC and left a voicemail for the owner.

On 07/31/2018 at 08:55 hours, I Officer King (78347), responded to a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 1936 Central Ave. Upon arrival I spoke with the complainant, Mr. Jonathon Greene. Mr. Green stated that items were stolen out of the cab of one of the company's trucks while it was sitting the parking sometime over night between yesterday and this morning when he came into work. Mr. Greene stated that he left the doors to the cab unlocked because it is company policy to do so due to the fact that they have had windows busted out in the past. Mr. Greene stated that a car battery charger and a thumb drive were the items that were taken. The thumb drive had on it system information for First TN Bank on it. Mr. Greene stated that the only suspect information that he had was that last night when he was leaving there was a man sitting on the wall behind the business who watched him get out of the truck but he does not have any further information.

She stated that she and her husband do the grounds cutting for the complex and they were there on the job when the incident occurred..

Information was obtained through observation, interviews, and investigation. Upon arrival, I located 2 parties identified as Ms. Cheaves, and Mr. Everett sitting in front of the laundry mat. Both parties stated they were going to change their clothes inside prior to leaving the area. I ran both parties and verified no wants and warrants. Both parties ended up leaving the area. The owner of the laundry mat arrived on the scene and told the parties not to be sitting in front of his business. No further action was taken.

The vehicle they left in had TN , which came back to a Ford Fusion, however the vehicle they were driving was a Hyundai. Mr. Bradley said he would have his lost prevention associate make a copy of the video and send it to police.

Delphia called police upset that her Daughter Ebony was calling her names. While speaking with Delphia it was clear she was intoxicated. Ebony stated her Mother was upset because earlier in the day she had taken cigarettes away from her because of a medical condition. I explianed to Delphia that this was not a criminal matter. I also went on to explain if she is having issues with Ebony to get a restraining order or have her evicted. Delphia admitted she had drank a cup of E & J liquor. Both parties were told to stay away from each other. No further action taken.

On the 1st of August 2018 at 0304 Officer Lynch was dispatched to a disorder call at 4021 Shallowford Rd.Upon arrival Police spoke to a heavily intoxicated Mrs. Pearlie Harris. From what Police could put together from Pearlie’s statements, is that this evening her boyfriend Larry Rucker and she went to some party in downtown Chattanooga. Because she had too much to drink, she had Larry drive her vehicle to get them home. Somewhere along the way home, Larry and she got into a verbal argument which resulted to her getting out of her vehicle and him driving away. She at first tried to claim that he pushed her out of the vehicle. But when questioned about how this occurred, she ended up admitting to get out of her vehicle willingly. She later stated that she didn’t even care that he had the vehicle and went as far as saying “He can keep it”. Ultimately Pearlie just wanted to get home and Police assisted her with getting home. McCall (0066492) got out with Mr. Kenneth Adams at 1611 Williams St. It was raining this morning and Mr. Adams decided to set up camp in the entryway of 1611 Williams St. The entryway has a nice little alcove that's covered and a bench. Mr. Adams was told he could not set up camp on someone else's property. Mr. Adams did not seem to understand what he was doing wrong. Adams said he gets kicked out of everyplace he tries to sit down. I very clearly explained to Mr. Adams that he was sitting right in front of someone's front door, that he had to leave, and if he wants to avoid police interactions and getting kicked out of everywhere he sits down, that he needs to pick hangout spots that are away from people's homes and private businesses. Mr. Adams left the scene after collecting his stuff.

On 08/01/2018 at 14:19 hours, Officer Lockhart (66490) responded to a MVT/Passenger Vehicle at 3018 Paul St. Upon arrival I spoke with Ruby Calhoun who informed me her son, Derrick Watkins, took her 2013 Lexus ES350 on 7/31/2018 at 1600 hours without her permission. Ms. Calhoun stated she has given Mr. Watkins permission to drive the vehicle in the past, but on 7/31/2018 she did not give him permission. Ms. Calhoun further stated that Mr. Watkins did this same thing a couple weeks ago, but he returned the vehicle a short time later. Ms. Calhoun did not wish to prosecute at this time, therefore, the vehicle was not entered into NCIC as stolen at the time of this report.

On 08/01/2018 at 16:25 hours, Officer Luke Simon 971 was flagged down about suspicious activity which happened at 6142 Shallowford Rd. The complainant Jennifer Applewhite (Perkins) stated at approximately 1340 hours a white male in his 50's wearing gray shorts and a tee shirt jiggled the handle of her vehicle which she was sitting in at the time. Mrs Applewhite (Perkins) stated she rolled up the window and the man walked away and entered a red in color Ford Taurus (unknown license plate) operated by a white female with brown hair. Mrs Applewhite (Perkins) stated she does not recall any other defining features of either individual and did not recall the direction of travel. It is unsure what the male's intentions were. Mrs Applewhite (Perkins) just wanted to report the suspicious activity. I was able to contact a Charlie team unit where the incident occurred and the officer stated he would keep an eye out for any suspicious activity in the area involving these suspects and a red Ford Taurus. He stated he has a film company in Alpharetta, GA called Turning Point Movie LLC. A check was mailed to an employee named Austin Pleasant. Mr. Mackey spoke with Austin and he stated he never received the check. It was discovered that the address the check was mailed to was not correct. Both Austin and Turning Point Movie LLC are located in Georgia. Mr. Mackey discovered that the check had been cashed at First Citizens Bank at 1611 Gunbarrel Road. It was cashed by someone other than Austin. Police spoke with Ava who works at First Citizens Bank. She stated the check was cashed on 7/31/18 at 1:06pm. The banks fraud department had been notified and they will work on pulling the video. The check number was 351. The business name on the check was Turning Point Move LLC. The check was in the amount of $975 made out to Austin Pleasant. At this time the suspect is unknown. Nothing further.

Thompson. He says that on 01 Aug. 2018, he received a call from his bank. First Bank in Dayton Tn., of unusual activity on his VISA debit card. He says that he then checked his account and found a transaction of $116.23 made at 12:25pm at Walmart at the aforementioned location. He says that the bank is returning the money to his account. He says that he needs a police report in order to have Wal-mart send him a copy of the suspect making the purchase.

On 08/03/2018 at 23:00 hours, Officer B. Baker (79856) wrote a continuation/supplement for a MVT/Passenger Vehicle at 8733 Ellington Way. Vehicle was recovered at 811 Gillespie Road on August the 3rd at 1900 hours. It was found abandoned in a field. The owner was contacted and reclaimed the vehicle. Several items were located in the vehicle that did not belong to the owner were turned into property(Property #18-3519. 24 rounds of .45 caliber ammunition were located in an Iphone case. Also found 2 credit cards belonging to Roxana Velazquez as well as a receipt from Krystals on Brainerd with the CC # 4366460708910590, which belongs to Roxana. The time of transaction on the receipt was 0613 on August the 3rd 2018. I reviewed video footage and saw the stolen vehicle go through the drive thru. The footage of the suspects was poor but the manager, Angela Swafford, remembered the car and the couple inside. The driver was a small black female mid 20's with a side pony tail and dark skin. The passenger was a black male, mid 20's, possible dreadlocks and dark skin. The vehicle was removed from NCIC. Nothing further

On 08/02/2018 at 12:30 hours, Officer M Pollard (63828) responded to a Counterfeiting/Forgery complaint at 2318 Shallowford Village Dr. Upon arrival, I spoke with the complainant, Mr. Michael Bishop. He explained to me that he made a deal to sell his cell phone to a person on Craigs List. He made arrangements to meet the suspect at the Shoney's parking lot Shallowford Village Drive. He met up with the suspect and was given the money for the phone. Later, after he got home, he noticed that the money felt weird. He looked closely and noticed that the $20 dollar bills all had the same serial number, as did the $10 bills. The next day he took the counterfeit bills to the bank and had them to verify that the bills were fake. The bank did confirm that the bills were a counterfeit. He then contacted police to turn in the counterfeit bills he received. As for the phone, Mr. Bishop stated that the phone is gone and he learned a life lesson. The bills were taken to the CPD Property Room.

According to Mr. Trimble, he opted to get $40 cash back during the transaction, but left without getting the money from the machine. Mr. Trimble stated he quickly realized his error and returned to the machine, which was now occupied by two males who firmly denied taking Mr. Trimble's $40. There were no loss prevention employees on scene at the time of this report to review video footage.

Vehicle 2, operated by Jumonte Brown, was stopped on Jenkins Rd facing North, preparing to turn right onto Standifer Gap Rd. Then, Vehicle 1, operated by Janna McElveen, rear-ended Vehicle 2. There was no apparent damage to either vehicle. Because there was no property damage and no personal injury, I informed both drivers that a crash report would not be applicable in the situation. The female ditched the tote in lawn and garden when approached by Layne but was still in possession of headphones, scissors and pepper spray when she passed all points of sales. The suspect attempted to use the spray on Layne when he tried to detain her but failed to open it. Upchurch said he had received a phone call from his 17 yr old daughter, whom he said was frantic and upset. Upon arrival, I determined that the daughter had been in a verbal altercation with her mother and was upset that her mother had grabbed her to disciple her. In response the daughter called dad because she did not like how her mother was treating her. Jamie Upchurch told me that her daughter was upset because she had been asked to take her younger sister to soccer practice before going to work. The daughter was upset and pulled out of the garage in her vehicle and clipped her mom's drivers side mirror with her passenger side mirror. Mom was upset and the verbal altercation ensued. No police action was needed.

The vehicle owner Mr. Russell Scott, stated that he was driving on S. Crest when he heard his vehicle make a noise and instantly began to smoke, so he pulled the vehicle over and a few short moments later the vehicle caught fire. Fortunately Mr. Scott was able to get out of the vehicle and get to safety before the vehicle caught fire. The vehicle was towed by Mostellars Towing to 2105 E. 24th St. Pl. Nothing further.

On 08/03/2018 at 20:39 hours, I, Sgt Kyle Moses #962, observed the def Dominique Brown driving TN/ at a high rate of speed North across the Market Street Bridge. Using my rear moving radar, I confirmed that the def was driving 46mph in a 30mph pedestrian-heavy area. Upon stop at 100 Cherokee Blvd, I retrieved the def's ID and ran him through NCIC. The return confirmed the def's license is revoked in the State of Tennessee. Def has a lengthy record of driving without a valid license. Def was very cooperative and apologetic.

Friday, 03 August 2018, at approximately 0025 hours, I, Officer Daniel Lewis Mitchum II #872/70788, was dispatched to 3914 St. Elmo Avenue (1885 Grill) on an unknown suspicious party. When on scene, the unknown suspicious party identified as, Joseph Thomas, was sitting on the patio chairs outside the restaurant after closing hours. Joseph Thomas stated he was waiting on a female party but was not able to give a name. I told Joseph Thomas to leave the business and not to return for the rest of the evening. I went inside and spoke with the manager, Michael "Chops" Fulghum, who informed me the unknown suspicious party, Joseph Thomas, was at the business the night before shaking on doors, then started pounding on them harder and harder as if he was trying to break in. An employee asked if he could be helped but Joseph Thomas replied no he was just trying to get to his room which is upstairs above the business. Joseph Thomas was asked to leave then. Michael Fulghum wanted to make sure police were called out this time and hopefully prevents him from coming back again.

On 08/04/2018 at 06:45 hours, Officer Justin Brumbaugh (0066622) responded to a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 2719 Applebrook Ln. Trevor Bacon called police to report that his 2016 Ford Focus had been entered sometime last night and he stated several items were stolen. An orange and gray Sccy 9mm pistol was taken from the driver side door, and a black North Face back pack was taken from another area in the car. The bag contained house and car keys, a stethoscope, prescription Oakley sunglasses, and a Streamlight flashlight. There was no suspect evidence in or around the vehicle. The handgun was entered into NCIC as stolen by Ms. Bell.

On 08/04/2018 at 14:12 hours, Officer Moser (60250) wrote a continuation/supplement for a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 2719 Applebrook Ln. Police spoke to the victim, Trevor Bacon who stated his stethoscope, watch and index cards that were in his backpack were located in Georgia and he was able to get those items back. On 08/04/2018 at 16:54 hours, Officer Stansberry (61910) responded to a Other Theft/Non-Specific at 2211 Overnite Dr. Complainant (Thomas Harris) stated Greggory Smith is driving a loaner vehicle from Car Max and called in earlier stating there was no dealer tag on the vehicle. It is not known if the tag is stolen or had fallen off, however the vehicle was equipped with the tag when it left Car Max property. The tag was entered into NCIC #P556615881 and at this time there is no further information available.

On 08/04/2018 at 19:38 hours, Officer Thomas Plunkett (79536) responded to a verbal disorder at 901 Carter St. Upon arrival, police spoke with the (Asst. Manager Ms. Grant).Ms. Grant stated that Ms. Ricks walked into the restaurant and was asked to wait to be seated due to the restaurant being busy, Ms. Ricks became very loud and disruptive, saying that management was racist .Management asked Ms. Ricks to sit down and wait to be seated or leave, Ms. Ricks was still being loud police were called.Police spoke with Ms. Ricks who stated that she was upset because she had bad knees and wanted to sit at a table but wasn’t allowed to.Management trespassed Ms. Ricks on 8/4/2018 and is not allowed back at all.Nothing further at this time.

On 08/04/2018 at 22:45 hours, Officer William Curvin (61435) responded to a Damaged Property Accidental at 1407 Palisades Rd. Sucely Galvez was driving her and her sister, Yurinelda Galvez, up Signal Mountain Rd. They stated that they heard a loud noise and the vehicle burst into flames. The car fire was extinguished by the fire dept. The car was towed by Caines wrecker. No one was hurt.

The marijuana weighed 2.3 grams and was taken to property under #18-3540.

1265 Market St18-074176 8/4/2018 10:00:00PM 23F Theft from Motor Vehicle

On 08/05/2018 at 08:48 hours, PST Glenn, Clifton (60757) responded via telephone on report of a Theft from Motor Vehicle at 1265 Market St. I spoke with Thomas Andrew Still. He stated that he left his 2008 BMW 325i on the back parking lot of Southside Bar and GRill over night. He says that he failed to lock his vehicle and it appears that an unknown party spent the night in it. He says an empty beer bottle was left in the vehicle. He also stated that a pair of prescription sunglasses, a pair of prescription glasses, a hiking bag and a multi-blade knife were stolen from his vehicle. He says that there was no apparent damage to his vehicle.

On 08/05/2018 at 20:35 hours, Officer S.Warren (71993) responded to a Vandalism at 200 Manufacturers Rd. Upon arrival I made contact with Ms. Busch, victim, who stated there had been items taken from her apartment's parking garage, so she checked on her motor cycle, and noticed wires had been cut near the handle bars. No suspect information or evidence to collect.
