Welcome to Bethel
on this Father’s Day Weekend! 5:30 PM/9:30 AM
Thanks for joining us in worship! We’re glad you’re here!
We give thanks for the great gift of our fathers today.
We are also reminded of the awesome privilege of parenting
as well as the great challenges both fathers and mothers face.
May you sense God’s presence, power and love
through our service today!

* SONG: “FROM THE INSIDE OUT” J. Houston © 2005 Hillsong Publishing CCLI 679069
A thousand times I've failed...still Your mercy remains...
and should I stumble again...still I'm caught in Your grace...
Everlasting...Your light will shine when all else fades...
Neverending...Your glory goes beyond all fame!
Your will above all else...my purpose remains...
the art of losing myself...in bringing You praise…
Everlasting...Your light will shine when all else fades...
Neverending...Your glory goes beyond all fame!
In my heart, in my soul...Lord, I give You control...
consume me from the inside out, Lord…
Let justice and praise...become my embrace...
to love You from the inside out...
Everlasting...your light will shine when all else fades...
Never-ending...your glory goes beyond all fame!
And the cry of my heart is to bring You praise...
from the inside out...Lord, my soul cries out!
* The Pastoral Greeting:
Leader: We begin our worship in the Name and the Spirit
of the Author of all life, hope and love... People: In the name of the Father, the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit. Amen!
* Today’s Litany:
L: We give thanks for those fathers who strive
to balance the demands of life, with their parenting... P: And we pray for those fathers who,
lacking a good model for a father,
have worked to become good fathers!
L: We give thanks for those fathers who, despite divorce,
have remained in their children’s lives… P: And for those fathers whose children are adopted,
and whose love and support have offered healing!
L: We thank you for those fathers who by their own
account, were not always there for their children,
yet who continue to offer love and support to their
children, now grown. P: And we thank you for fathers who, as stepfathers,
freely choose the obligation of fatherhood and earn
their step children’s love and respect.
L: We ask your special blessing on those fathers who
have lost a child, and continue to hold those children
in their heart… P: And we give thanks for those men who have no
children, but cherish the next generation as if they
were their own and have “fathered” as role models
and guides.
L: We ask your blessing on those who are about
to become fathers… P: May they openly delight in their children.
L: And we thank you for those fathers who have died… P: Yet they live on in our memories and their love
continues to nurture us!
* The Prayer of the Day:
L: Lord, our Heavenly Father… P: May the love of our earthly fathers draw us ever
nearer to you and may it perfect in us the image
of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!

* The Great Thanksgiving:
L: The Lord is with you. P: The Lord is with you, too!
L: Lift up your hearts. P: We lift them to the Lord.
L: Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God! P: It is right to give our thanks and praise!
L: It is right, true and appropriate for us
to be here and to share in this Holy gift.
As we receive it again today, we believe
that it binds us together as family, it forgives our sins,
and it empowers us to serve God and others.
We know it is a mystery and a wonder and
that there is more going on here than our eyes can see,
our ears can hear, or our minds can comprehend.
We receive this gift with thankfulness, grace, and awe!
* Breaking the Bread/Sharing the Wine
* The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come, your will be done,
on earth, as in heaven.
Give us today, our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
as we forgive those, who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours, now and forever. Amen.
*L: The table is set, the feast is ready, the Lord is here!

* SONG: “BLESSED BE YOUR NAME”
M. Redman / B. Redman CCLI #3798439 © 2002 Thankyou Music
Blessed be your name...in the land that is plentiful...
where your streams of abundance flow…
blessed be your name!
Blessed be your name...when I'm found in the desert place...
though I walk through the wilderness...blessed be your name!
Every blessing you pour out, I'll...turn back to praise,
when the darkness closes in, Lord...still I will say...
Blessed be the name of the Lord...blessed be your name...
blessed be the name of the Lord…
blessed be your glorious name!
Blessed be your name...when the sun's shining down on me...
when the world's “all as it should be”...blessed be your name!
Blessed be your name...on the road marked with suffering...
though there's pain in the offering...blessed be your name!
You give and take away...you give and take away...
my heart will choose to say...Lord, blessed be your name!
* The Sending:
L: Now go, to be a blessing to others... P: We go to share God’s love and grace
with all that we meet!

SONG: “ALL FOR LOVE” M. Fieldes © 2004 Hillsong Publishing CCLI # 679069
All for love a father gave. . .For only love could make a way
All for love the heavens cried . . .For love was crucified
Oh how many times. . . Have I broken your heart
But still you forgive . . . If only I ask
And how many times . . . Have you heard me pray
Draw near to me
Everything I need is you
My beginning my forever
Everything I need is you
Let me sing all for love . . . I will join the angel song
Ever holy is the Lord . . . king of glory king of all
All for love a Savior prayed . . . Abba father have your way
Though they know not what they do . . .
Let the cross draw man to you
To you . . . To you . . . To you
