COZMO has finished a total of 19 years of education includ-ing primary and lower secondary school. After lower secondary school, he went to a boarding school to do sports and practice languages. When graduating high school, COZMO had a gap year where he travelled the world before attending university. COZMO has a master’s degree in history and journalism, and

currently work as an international advisor. His career goal is to become ambassador. COZMO has previously worked as a re-searcher, journalist, mentor, substitue teacher, in a restaurant, and as mail man. He has done voluntary work as a journalist. COZMO’s native language is Danish, and he also speaks Eng-lish, Spanish and German. He has not served in the military.

Describe your strong sides: I have an open-minded and proactive approach to life. I am optimistic and handle adversity well. I try to see the best in everybody and enjoy being around people. I am determined and disciplined. When I set a goal, I pursue it until I reach it.

Describe your weak sides: I am a slow starter and not good at showing up on time.

Describe the best holiday you have had: Traveling around South East Asia and South America for a year after high school with my best friend.

What do you like the most about your own country?Denmark is very a nice and peaceful country. I like the demo-cratic system, the welfare system, strong sense of equality and legality, the education system, the focus on the environ-ment and internationalism.

Who are your idols/heroes/heroines? My father, my grandmother and Julius Ceasar. My father is a very caring father and a great man, a true role model who sees the best in people. My grandmother came from poverty and survived hardship. She was a strong woman. As a histo-rian, the life of Julius Ceasar inspires me.

What are your goals in life? My main goal is to live a happy life with friends and family. I want to live a healthy life and be able to do sports well into my hundreds. I want to travel the world and make the best of the time I have. Being ambitious I also want to pursue an in-ternational career and ultimately become an ambassador and representative of Denmark.

What were your childhood dreams?When I was five years old, I wanted to become a baker be-cause I loved the smell of bakeries. But my biggest dream was to become a professional football player. Unfortunately, an injury ended that dream.

Which values do you rank the highest?Open-mindedness, respect, love, kindness and generosity.

Which childhood experience made the biggest impres-sion on you? When I was 7 years old, my father was run down by a car and barely survived. I clearly remember my mom picking me up from school and telling me what had happened. Seeing him in the hospital was a horrible experience and I still get emo-tional when thinking about it because I was so afraid that he wouldn’t make it.

Which was your greatest experience or moment? A one-year journey around the world after high school.

Happiest: The moment my girlfriend told me she was preg-nant and I realized I was going to be a father.

Funniest: A drunk night out with my two best friends on an island off the coast of Thailand. It would make a great movie.

Scariest: In 2008, I was thrown into a jail cell at a border crossing between Laos and Vietnam and was interrogated for what felt like hours. The military had found weed on the bus and since my friend and I were the only foreigners, they as-sumed it was ours.

Proudest: The proudest experience in my life was telling my parents that they were going to be grandparents.

Greatest sorrow: When my grandmother died. She and I had a special relationship and she died while I was on my way to the hospital.

Most dangerous: Diving off the coast of the Galapagos Is-lands I was caught by a stream 18 metres under the surface and ascended too quickly. Fortunately, my lungs didn’t ex-plode but blood was running from my ears and nose and I was dizzy for weeks.

What is your favourite colour? Navy blue. A navy blue suit just looks so elegant.

What is your favourite animal? Dogs, because my brother and I watched a japanese cartoon about Silver Fang when we were kids.

What is your favourite kind of food? Thai cuisine - go to the island of Koh Phi Phi and try a Thai green curry.

What is your favourite kind of music? Hip hop. My favourite artists are Notorious BIG, Outkast and Dr. Dre. My favourite album is 2001 by Dr. Dre.

What is your favourite kind of car? I have always dreamed of driving a big, bad, black Range Rover.

What is your favourite kind of pet? Dogs because they are so loving and loyal.

What is your favourite time of year? Summer... The warmer the better!

What is your favourite book and/or author?“Crime and Punishment” by Fyodor Dostoyevsky. It was a long read but it really got under my skin. “Shantaram” by Da-vid Gregory Roberts and “The Assassini” by Thomas Gifford are great, too.

What is your favourite movie and/or director? “Rudy” (1993). It is an inspiring movie about a kid who is overcoming all odds and doing what everybody told him he couldn’t do.
