Communications
Enforcement of road signs by traffic department - monitoring continues…
Some residents still objecting to no-entry signs

Barking Dogs and False Alarms
Two official barking dog complaints A reminder of the official ruling: no more than 2
dogs per property are allowed False burglar alarms continue to be an issue
Traffic Matters and Dogs
FRA and BCRA support Kirstenbosch activities Cliff Richard concert was a problem this year - ending late with
high sound volumes K does not want to exceed 2 International events per year The number of nights for each (1 to 3) depends on bookings Will try to start concerts at nightfall and end by 10pm
Sunday concerts irreducibly involve the following:– setting up begins after 10.30 on a Sunday– sound checks in the stage area between 12.20 and 2pm– Front of the house (full speaker) sound testing from 2pm to
3pm– Audience admitted at 3pm, concert from 5.30 to 6.30 – Managers to ensure that concerts end on time

Kirstenbosch
Cell phone reception is still poor.
Permissions from the various authorities to approve a Vodacom cell phone mast on top of the Kirstenbosch research building is bogged down in bureaucracy and there has been little progress since last year despite this being raised again recently with Kirstenbosch management
MTN mast construction on private Bishops Court property similarly bogged down
10
