How do I find the resources I need? You can access the online College Library catalogue using the computers in the Library or any other computer by visiting: http://lib.harlaxton.ac.uk.
When you have found a suitable item make a note of the shelf location, for example 109 ROU. This is the Dewey number for where the book is shelved and first three letters from the author’s surname. (See Library Plan on p. 3).
Welcome to the Harlaxton College Library! The Harlaxton College Library collections are for the use of all members of the College community and are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Library occupies three rooms in the North Wing of the Manor which originally housed the Manor kitchens.
In this booklet you will find details about the range of resources in the Library and facilities which you can make use of during your stay so that your time at Harlaxton is as productive as possible.
You can access the Library catalogue online at http://lib.harlaxton.ac.uk, however staff are available, at the times shown overleaf, if you need help or advice, or if you are having difficulty in finding the information you need.
A Library of this size can function efficiently only if all users co-operate. Rules are few – please observe them, as they are for the benefit of everyone. Specific information is given in this booklet, but we urge you to consult with us if any points need clarification or if we can be of help in any way.
We aim to constantly improve the resources and services offered and welcome your suggestions and comments, even if it is just recommending a good book.
This is your Library - please make good use of it.
