Welcome to HPR’s Atherton Studio!

The Atherton Performing Arts Studio is Hawaiʻi Public Radio’s gift to the community. With its perfect acoustics, this 75-seat space provides a superior live concert experience. The intimacy of the room also encourages a special relationship between audience and performer. HPR produces summer and winter seasons of live concerts in the Atherton featuring a diverse program of artists, from musicians with national and international careers to emerging local bands. A selection of past Atherton concerts also air on Applause in a Small Room (Sundays 4 pm, HPR-2). Location and parking

• 738 Kāheka Street, ground floor of the Hawaiʻi Public Radio Plaza building, across from Don Quijote (closest cross street is Makaloa).

• Metered street parking or paid lots at First Hawaiian Bank (Kapiʻolani branch) & in the Pan Am building.

Rentals The Studio is available for rent for musical performances, community group meetings, recordings, and lectures. The rental rate is $100 - $150 an hour and includes use of the magnificent Bösendorfer concert grand piano. Reduced rates may be available for free events sponsored by nonprofit organizations.
