School InformationAttendance
Students may not arrive before 7:00 A.M.
TardiesStudents must be in the
classroom by the 7:30 bell. If you arrive after this time you must get a slip from the office.

GT Process for Kinder begins in January
TechnologyAs a class, students visit the computer lab once every two weeks.
Students have access to computers in the classroom.
Students will have access to the Internet only with parental permission. NEISD monitors all information allowed into the district.
LibraryStudents will visit the library every
Thursday at their designated time for a story and lesson with the librarian.
We do not check books out weekly.
Kinder participates in a reading bag program.
A different reading bag comes home nightly with 2 books (1 fiction and 1 nonfiction)
Must be returned daily- Students receive folder marks for not returning their bag each day
HomeworkMonthly Homework Folder will begin
in October and will be due back each Friday to be checked.
Each night practice daily routines, tying shoes, buttoning buttons, writing first and last name,

Homework Folders will be sent home on Mondays and will be due on Fridays, all students are expected to complete the homework assignments.
Parent InvolvementEncourage your child to tell you about his/her
day (Ask specific questions: Name a story you and your class have read? What happened in the story? What did you do in… (P.E., Music, etc..)?
Fieldtrips are a great way for working parents to participate. We will give you as much notice as possible so that you can make arrangements at work! Please complete the MANDATORY CHC (Criminal History Check) NOW! – This must be completed via the internet!
District Volunteer Database was wiped out! Everyone must reapply to volunteer!
HealthGet a good night sleepWhen your child has a fever, keep
them at home. They must be fever-free for 24 hours.
Medication can only be administered under the direction of the nurse. This includes ALL over-the-counter medications such as cough drops, Tylenol, cough syrup, etc.
If your child is absent please send a doctor’s note.
CommunicationCheck your child’s communication
folder and initial behavior calendar daily.
All correspondence should be placed in this folder.
Remove all notes and work from folder on a daily basis
Money Collections must be in an envelope with child’s name, amount and purpose on the envelope
