Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
Children’s Sermon Children ages Pre-K thru 2nd grade will be dismissed
for Worship and Wonder following the Children’s Sermon
This Week’s Announcements
Reception for Amber Mattingly
Join us on Sunday, July 30 for an appreciation luncheon for Rev. Amber Mattingly
Please bring a salad, fruit or cookies to share.
We will set up on Saturday, July 29 @ 2:00 p.m.
We also need help serving and cleaning up on Sunday. Contact Gail Hartman 281-360-6380
Thanks to those that donated to the special Pentecost Offering. Our congregation is sending $1,435 toward beginning new churches in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). What an exciting time! In the year 2000, our general church made a commitment to begin 1,000 new churches by the year 2020, and we are closing in on that goal! Many thanks to each of you for your continued generosity.
Our special denominational offerings are above and beyond your tithes and pledges to Kingwood Christian Church. Indeed, how blessed we are to live in abundance, sharing our gifts outside the walls of our congregation.

Our KCC t-shirts serve as a symbol
of our unity in practicing our faith… wear it everywhere you go!
One: God says, “I have called you to go and be a blessing to the world.
Know that I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and
I will bring you back to this sacred place.” (Genesis 28)
All: With this stone, we name this sacred place the house of God.
One: In times of trouble, in times of despair, in times when hope seems
far away, we cry out to God. (1 Sam 7:12)
All: With this stone, we name this place God Helps for we have
seen that the Lord has helped us thus far.
One: When your children ask “What do those stones mean to you?”
Say to them…. (Joshua 4)
All: With this stone, we claim that God works in mighty ways for
the good of all people.
One: Dear friends, you are God’s chosen and precious living stones
created to show the beauty of God’s love in all that you say and in
all that you do. (1 Peter 2)
All: With this stone, we cry out, “God’s works are marvelous in
our eyes!”
For Our Guests ...
We are so glad that you are here! It is our hope that you will feel at home at Kingwood Christian Church. It is our prayer that God will bless you through this worship experience. Here is information that might be helpful to you and your family: Kingwood Christian Church is celebrating 40 years of ministry this year. Our congregation is part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) which is the oldest mainline denomination founded on American soil. Information about Disciples is available at the Ministry Center in the foyer or by visiting www.disciples.org. Members of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) celebrate open communion. That means anyone who is a follower of Jesus Christ is invited to participate in communion. Professional nursery care is available for babies thru Kindergarten. Please ask one of our greeters in the foyer to direct you to the nursery. Assisted listening devices are available in the foyer to help members and guests participate more fully in worship. Speak to one of our greeters who will be happy to help you.
