James Turner Senior Innovation Manager, MidTECH Innovations Intellectual Property MidTECH is the NHS Innovation Hub for the West Midlands, essentially acting as the NHS tech- nology transfer office for the region. Intellectual property (IP) protection forms a vital role in this process and MidTECH is happy to offer free 15 minute surgeries and potential follow-up discus- sions to offer advice and guidance on all things IP in the world of healthcare. Please note, non- disclosure agreements will not be available on the day, so project/innovation specific details may not be able to be discussed at the initial surgery meeting. In order to achieve our goal we have created a collaboration of patients and the public, service personnel, and applied health researchers to fulfil our mission. In NIHR CLAHRC WM, service change and applied research are embedded in the same structure – driving projects across the four service themes of maternity and child health, youth mental health, prevention and detection of disease, and integrating care for people with chronic diseases.
