Each year, Kennydale PTA invests over $25,000 in academic areas for our students that are not funded by state, federal, or district budgets. Here are a few examples:

Science Week — $3,000Pacific Science Center’s hands-on exhibit, Science Night, ‘Celebrity Scientist’ guest speakers

Camp Seymour / Science Education — $2,5005th grade environmental education curriculum

Library Fund — $1,000Purchase of high-quality books representing a variety of genres that keep kids excited about reading and learning

Classroom Periodicals — $3,500Discussions about current events are aided by social studies magazines such as “Scholastic News” and “TIME for Kids”
