It is vital therefore we have an acve and strong ex- ecuve/meeng to ensure its operaon and partner- ship into the future. Execuve posions for the P&C will be declared vacant at the next meeng on Tues- day 19 March at 7pm (AGM). Please consider whether you can be a part of this great organisaon. More parent help needed: Two other areas where parents can be involved at the moment is in assisng with the Variety Bash visit on 20 May and with the School Musical team. The Variety Bash visit has a catering meeng on Tuesday (tomorrow) 12 March at 12:20pm in the office with the commiee to discuss “lunch” menu. The School Musical (performance on term 3 Septem- ber) team needs help with costuming, make-up and prop design. Please advise office ladies if you can assist. Early Arrivals - There have been a number of stu- dents arriving very early - before 8:30am - there is no formal supervision or legal right for students to ar- rive before 8:30am. The odd bus is occasionally early but many students have been dropped-off by par- ents/carers before 8:30. I ask parents to abide by DoE regulaons. Parent Parking/Drop-off - The only place for par- ents to park or drop-off in the zone out the front in Evans St or general parking spaces in Murray and Evans St. No parent cars are permied in staff car parking at anyme. Student Crossings - Students and parents are re- minded the crossing blisters are the safest places to use to cross Murray, Evans and Campbell Streets. The P&C has been working with the Traffic Com- miee to upgrade the safety along Campbell Street but there are sll high risks, especially when stu- dents do not look before crossing. Scripture Changed today – 11 March Today is the annual visit from the “Quizworks” team which will present their show in the hall as combined Scripture for that day. Years K-6 will have the pro- gram from 11:45am. The program goes for ½ hour and Ethics will connue as normal. School Voluntary Contribuons and Library Fund. This week we should have the invoices ready to go for the 2019 Voluntary contribuons. As in previous years the contribuons will remain the same— $45 per year for each individual child or $70 per family. Along with this voluntary contribuon is a $20 donaon for the Kitchen Garden and also $20 for the Library fund—which is tax deduc- table. Which, if each family chose to pay, would be $85 for an individual child or $110 per family for the 2019 school year. This money is used to purchase educaon needs for the students; ie: exercise books, pencils, glue, paint, craſt goods, sporng equipment, library books and kitchen garden requirements, along with much more. Please consider paying these contribuons. Sports Update - Regional Swimming this Wednes- day - Good luck to our swim team: Georgia, Tamika and Axel who will swim in their age 50m freestyle.
