PBIS
“PBIS” is short for Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports.
Effective classroom management and practices that prevent behavioral problems are essential for supporting teaching and learning.
Clearly defined behavioral expectations are taught and reinforced.
Our Class Behavior Chart
Four colors:
– Pink- Outstanding!
– Green- Ready to Learn
– Yellow- Think About It
– Red- Parent Contact
All students begin their day on green
Students can move up and down the chart throughout the day
When a student ends their day on pink, they earn a Uconn ticket. 1 ticket= 3 shots at our hoop on Friday and a chance for a prize!
Student Recognition
Students receive feedback on their positive behaviorDolphin DollarsSchool-wide Reward: Dolphin Dollars that each
student earns count toward a reward for every student in the school.
First Reward: 2,000 Dolphin Dollars earns extra recess for all classes.
Classroom Expectations

Homework
Beginning in October, a monthly reading log will be sent home at the beginning of every month. The reading log will be due at the end of every month.Math work pages will be sent home on Mondays. They will be due on Thursdays.
