Friday- 1. Spelling Activities Due (parents initial unless work is attached)

Guided Reading Books will come home, to be read and returned.
Xtra Math.com should be practiced
twice a week for fact fluency!
Logging Reading Minutes
At your child’s seat is a sheet with directions for Reading-Rewards.com
• Students are motivated to read with this system!• We have logged in at the computer lab.• We will continue to log in minutes for practice.• We can see what each other is reading (only us). • Please email me with questions!• This is optional…you may request a paper log.
Birthday Bag•Replaces birthday treats (school policy)
•Child brings in a bag of special items to share at morning meeting (pictures, toys, trophy, favorite item).
•We sing to student during meeting.
•Student chooses morning meeting activity that day.
Birthday Guest Reader
On your child's birthday, they will invite one guest reader to read a story to the class. The date will be arranged with the teacher in advance. Schedules are flexible and we can arrange a guest reader 1-2 weeks before or after their birthday if necessary. More information can be found on my teacher page at BTS.
Rules and Consequences
Students are asked to follow classroom procedures-
• When to sharpen your pencil• Sign out for bathroom use• No talking in the hallways (and more)
Students are asked to follow classroom rules we created together the 1st week of school.
1.Warning2.Will be moved to sit at an outside table.3.Behavior Action Chart- sent home that night to be filled out by parent/child (phone call home).This is only sent for severe behavior issue and should be taken seriously.
