Classroom Management• All students start with two golden tickets

for the week • If a student has an issue during the da, we discuss the behavior and

how it should be fixed. If they continue similar behaviors, or do something such as pushing, etc., they may remove a golden ticket • If a student demonstrates positive behaviors during the day, they

may receive additional golden tickets.• I look for the positive and feel that all students can turn their day

around.• Behavior is documented on the Golden Ticket sheet that is sent home

on Friday. However, if I feel there is something that needs more immediate attention, it will be noted in the agenda, an email, or a phone call.

How can you help?

• READ with your child: listen to them read, read with them, or read to them• Homework help is OK. If your child is having trouble

reading a math problem, figuring out an answer to a reading question, etc.- please help them. Talk out the answer though and help them find it or the way to get it, don’t just give them the answer. You are a teacher, too!• Always contact me if something happens in your child’s

life that may have an impact on their school day. (example: dog dies, storms in the night kept them awake, really rough morning, or other issues that may affect them emotionally or physically)

What Every Child Needs...Appreciation, just for who they are.Balance, not too little, not too much.Commitment, be there for them.Dreams, to touch the future.Empathy, to be heard and cared for.Family and friends, we all need love.Guidance, to help them find their way.Healthy Habits to live their best life.Inspiration, to be all they can be.Joyful childhood memories.Kindness, little things mean a lot.Limits, make agreements together.Mentors, to give wings to their dreams.Nature, to delight in rainbows and butterflies.Opportunities, to make their hearts sing.Play, the 'work' of childhood.Quiet Time, to recharge their batteries.Respect, to be seen and heard.Security, to help them feel safe.Teachers, to lead by example.Unconditional love, to thrive.Values- they learn what they live.Words of hope and supportXoxoxo's, every chance you get. You, your presence more than presents.Zzzzzzz's, a good night's sleep.
