HISTORY / CURRENT CONDITIONS

• Total reconstruction of SR 161/ Post Road

• All new ramps including two loop ramps to eliminate left turn conflicts

• Off ramps aligned with Eiterman Road and Hyland-Croy Road

• Roundabout modifications at Eiterman Road. New traffic signal at Hyland-Croy.

• Resurfacing of US 33

FINAL PHASE

• Extensive landscaping

• Reduce mowing with ornamental turf areas

• Use mounding and curvilinear shapes to compliment ramp geometry

• Trees of varied foliage, color, and shape that are hardy and disease resistant

• Evergreen trees added for texture, color, and winter interest

FINAL PHASE

• Total reconstruction

• Expanding to 6-lanes to accommodate future widening of US 33

• Aesthetic enhancements as a gateway to Dublin and Union County

• A more contemporary look but still incorporating some traditional stone

US 33 Overpass Bridge

• All right-of-way for the project was purchased by the city in 2008 with the exception of one parcel

• Several temporary construction easements to be acquired for grading and traffic maintenance

• Right-of-way and easement acquisition to begin later this year with completion in the fall of 2021

RIGHT-OF-WAY

• South Fork of Indian Run culvert extension-Section 404/401 waterway Permit

• One property will exceed the Noise level of 65 dBA-No noise abatement

• There are no hazardous materials/waste concerns in the project area

• No historic or archaeological resources found in project area.

• Project will be approved for Environmental with appropriate documentation.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 11, 2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
