Social Studies In 4th grade our focus is on
Pennsylvania.
A large portion of our social studies program is based on the realistic fiction book, Tales of the Towpath. This program is sponsored by the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor
They have supplied a treasure chest full of artifacts to aide in the study of our state’s history.
![Page 11: Welcome to Room U46](https://reader035.vdocuments.net/reader035/viewer/2022062521/568168b7550346895ddf95b6/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)

Adjustments / Connections Across Content
• Due to the pilot of Tales of the Towpath in social studies, we will complete all 4 science kits in the first 2 marking periods. This allows us to keep the artifacts from the museum for the 3rd and 4th marking periods.
• This will affect the standards that will be monitored on your students report cards when compared to previous years. No worries! We will all cover the same objectives, just in a slightly different order to maximize our learning opportunities.
