Among other things, the CRA and the city are making upgrades to infrastructure and other improvement projects to create an environment for private investment and to encourage economic growth while improving the quality of life in the district. The city has also hired a new economic development manager with vision and eagerness to showcase our South Cape community. We are traveling the world to let developers know what they are missing in Cape Coral. We’ve increased densities among other things that Vince will speak of in a minute and committed to making the city’s processes a positive experience for developers. We hope to attract infill multi-family and mixed-use development in the Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) encouraging developments with potential tax increment financing and development incentives. It is our goal to continue to build a pedestrian-friendly South Cape with an assortment of restaurants and retail, new multi-family housing and office opportunities.

INCENTIVES FOR SELECT DEVELOPMENT SITES IN SOUTH CAPE
There are opportunities to help fill financial gaps with the use of tax increment financing (TIF) for select developments in the CRA The City and CRA plan to attract office development and employers to the South Cape with an assortment of incentives. Stormwater Credit Program Allows the development improvements on site maximizing land area Reduced time and cost for permitting One time charge for use of system (no annual maintenance fee) Size: 12,500 sf (100x125 lot) Required Storage is 1563cf* Cost to use City system is $42,045
