• Combined measures will reduce power demand by 50%
• Eliminated 850 tons of CO2 in just a few months of operation
• At full power, the project will prevent about 2,800 tons of CO2per year as well as significant amounts of other air pollutants

Enhanced Energy Best Practices
• 10-stage checklist with 245 individual energy initiativesencompassing all aspects of a facility.
• First 5 stages were introduced in 1995, second 5 in 2000, with a 100% completion goal by the end of 2005.
• New Jersey facilities had a cumulative average of completion of 95% by the end of 2004.
• From January 2004 through February 2005 there were approximately 40 energy management projects completed and submitted that will:
• Save annually 5,527 megawatt-hours of electricity; 30,968 decatherms of natural gas; and $695,000.
• Avoided 4,391 tons of CO2 emissions.

• Installed the largest ground mounted Solar PV System (NJ American Water: Canal Road Plant in Franklin, NJ)
• Constructing one of New Jersey’s largest roof mounted PV system, 500kW (Merck: Rahway, NJ, campus)
• Responsible for NJ’s largest microturbine installation (Marriott: Edison, NJ)

Dometech’s clean energy results: Since January 2004 alone:• Clients received over $10 million in funding
and incentives from New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program, SmartStart and Department of Defense.
• Contributed to energy savings of more than 18 million kWh of electricity and 1 million therms (over last 18 months)
• Resulted in carbon dioxide emissions reduction by more than 17,000 tons, the equivalent to removing 3,100 cars from New Jersey’s roads or planting 4,800 acres of trees

New Jersey Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
Lighting the Way Partnership• Goal: Install PV systems on 25 religious
institution facilities throughout the state.• Test site at Grace Lutheran Church in
Mendham, NJ. • Currently, eleven NJ churches have or plan to
install PV arrays. Together these systems will generate 125 KW of solar electricity.
• Two other churches have followed the Synod’s lead and contracted for energy audits of their facilities.
• Program now has spread over nine different counties.
