Twin Lakes Church was founded back in 1890, and has the same mission today as always: To share the good news of Jesus Christ — through word and deed — in Santa Cruz County and beyond! What people experience during the worship services is just the beginning of TLC’s ministry to the community…
LOVE IN ACTIONWe believe in showing Christ’s love in practical ways:
• People’s Pantry distributes free groceries• Sonshine Ministry brings home-cooked meals• Mom’s Angels does car repair• HomeAid does home fix-it projects for the
widowed and needy• Wood This Help? brings firewood to those who need it• Share His Care mobilizes volunteers to help the sick• Stephen Ministry assists with hospital and home visits
To volunteer for or receive care from any of these ministries, please contact Susie@tlc .org or 831-465-3368 .
GIVING BACKTwin Lakes Church is pleased to partner with Second Harvest Food Bank, The Salvation Army, Prison Fellowship, and Bridge of Hope as we give back to our community during the holidays .
For our November food drive, the church raised over 1 .2 million pounds of food in ten weeks! Thanks to everyone for your amazing support .
During our December Angel Tree Project, the church donated hundreds of toys and other gifts to needy children and nursing home residents . Again, thanks for your generosity .
TLC also supports local and global outreach throughout the year . Through our own ministries, and through partners like Little Flock Children’s Home, the poor are fed, orphans are loved, the sick are cared for, and churches are built all year round .

Think about it: Jesus didn’t worry, he wasn’t consumed by fear, anger, selfishness or guilt . Instead, Jesus was full of compassion, forgiveness, and love . Wouldn’t you like to be more like Jesus, too?

THE DARK NIGHT OF THE SOULMany ages ago, people in a land darkened by war, corruption, and sin prayed for God to help…
“Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down… come down to make your name known.” Isaiah 64:1
Through the prophets, God promised that His help would arrive in a most unusual way: A baby would be born of a virgin and would be called
“God with us.” Isaiah 7:14
THE LONG WAIT FOR DAWNFor centuries people waited in darkness for this promise to be fulfilled… And their cries sound familiar to anyone calling to God for help…
“How long, O Lord, must I call for help, but you do not listen?” Habakkuk 1:1
“We all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.” Isaiah 64:6
THE SON RISESThen, at long last, the promise came true…
“She gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger…” Luke 2:7
“All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel — which means, God with us.” Matthew 1:23
O NIGHT DIVINEIt wasn’t really the night that was divine; it was the promised child . His divine light shines into every night — into the darkness in our world, and in our souls . The child grew up to dispel the darkness of guilt by taking the penalty due us for our sins . And Jesus saves us from the darkness of helplessness by filling our lives with His love and might!
“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.” John 1:9
Let His divine light shine into your dark night this Christmas!
