The Dough Roller Family History Growing up on the boards, Bill Gibbs worked as a beach boy renting umbrellas and chairs to visitors of the Breakers

Hotel at the young age of 14. Visitors would ask him every day where to go for lunch, which led to Bills’ dream of opening his own restaurant. Years later, Bill and his wife, Julie, purchased the Breakers Hotel and converted the front porch into The Dough Roller which opened in the spring of 1980. As the restaurant grew so did the Gibbs family, with

three sons and five locations, the Dough Roller’s traditions continue. As the 40th Anniversary of the Dough Roller arrives, we’re grateful to be a part of your Ocean City, MD family traditions. Thank you for dining with us!
