Welcome to the IARBC Women's Renew Conference! We are so excited that you came this weekend. Did you know that if you know Christ as your personal Savior, you are in the process of becoming new? The word renewed in our theme verse describes "a new quality of life that never before existed”. When we trust Christ, we are a completely new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), but while we are here on earth we have a need for growth and maturity. This growth is specific. It is growth that leads us to becoming more like our Savior, Jesus Christ. This is the most important renewal we can invest in and we hope that this is one of the reasons you planned to attend this year! The theme for the conference this year is “It’s all about WHO?” Surrounded by voices that proclaim, “Be true to yourself”, “Believe in yourself”, “Love yourself”, and “Follow your dreams”, we as Christian women can easily buy into the message that life is about our fulfillment, comfort, and happiness. Secular and Christian sources alike encourage us to recognize what we want in life and make it happen. But to what degree is this ideology consistent with Scripture’s calling on the life of a believer? The Word of God clearly portrays our identity and purpose, and we as women in Christ must wrestle with the implication of these truths on our daily lives. We are so excited to see how the Lord will use this weekend in the lives of women who attend. On behalf of the planning committee, welcome! We are grateful that you decided to join us. It’s obvious with all of the fun and activities you may not get a lot of sleep, but we pray that you will return home with a sense of being RENEWED in Christ.

Blessings,RENEW CONFERENCE COMMITTEE

Building Kingdom Relationships | Friday at 2:00pm. Faith TaylorEach of us has a mental image of an ideal friendship: the girlfriend who gets you! She understands how you think, she’s easy to talk to, she’s there for you when you need her, and you have fun together. But is this what friendship is all about? Does the Bible provide any guidelines for our relationships with other women? Join us as we look at the perfect example of friendship, modeled by Jesus Christ Himself.

Dependence in the Wilderness — Psalm 63 | Friday at 4:00 pmThe routine struggles of life and the times of crisis both threaten to become the occasions in which individual believers and families turn away from God. God, however, calls on His children to turn to Him with greater dependence. When His children depend on Him, the struggles that we face as families become the occasions in which we draw closer to God and closer to one another.

Dr. Jeff Newman is a published author and the professor of biblical counseling at Fatih Baptist Bible College and Faith Baptist Bible Seminary.

Helping people to suffer well through Living with them in the Psalms | Saturday at 10:30, Dr. Jeff NewmanCome learn how to navigate and better understand the Psalms and how they can be a true encouragement to you and to others as they walk through difficulty.

The Response that Revives — Saturday at 11:30, Faith TaylorAccording to recent statistics, 50-60% of Christian men and 20-30% of Christian women admit they are addicted to pornography. This sin struggle will touch most of our lives—whether through a personal struggle or through the struggle of a spouse, child, or friend. The effects of this struggle are devastating, not only to the person trapped in it, but also to loved ones and friends. Join us as we consider a biblical response to the sexual struggles of another. This session will equip you to respond yourself or to provide support and guidance to others whose loved ones struggle.

FaithTaylorFaith is a redeemed sinner, saved by God’s indescribable grace, who is seeking to know her Savior better each day. She loves to teach, explaining the Word of God as it practically applies to the lives of ladies, and sharing with them His working in her own life. Faith received her B.A. in Church Ministries from Bob Jones University and her M.A. in Biblical Studies from Faith Baptist Theological Seminary. After serving in local church ministry for 25 years in Indiana, Wisconsin, and South Carolina, she and her husband, Dean, were called to Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, Iowa.

Dean is the professor of ministerial training, and Faith serves as professor of women’s ministries. Faith is the author of A Look Within, a women’s Bible study book, and Pray for Him, a prayer booklet for ministry wives. The desires of Faith’s heart are to be continually growing in Christlikeness, to support her husband in his life calling, to be an encouragement and help to their four adult children and beautiful grandchildren, Wren, Lewis, and Foster, and to be used of God to encourage growth in the lives of others around her as she experiences the work of God in her own life.
