Welcome to the Scholastic Book Fair Toolkit

This document is designed to guide you through the steps to successfully navigate through the Book Fair Toolkit and Online Tools. It all begins with a Welcome email! (This email replaces the Reservation Letter that was previously mailed to you.)

The Welcome email is sent in advance of your fair start date and explains the process of creating a password, enabling you to enter the Book Fair Toolkit.

The Book Fair Toolkit allows you to:

• Confirm your Fair dates• Request a Fair date change• Update your Enrollment • Monitor your Fair Progress• View Past Fair History• Register for a Book Fair Webinar• Review Book Fair News & Promotions• View the Book Fair Online Tools

This will be your portal for everything you need to run a successful Fair. There you will need to confirm your fair details and enter your school enrollment information. You will also be able to get in touch with me and access exclusive tips from the Book Fairs Product and Marketing team.

You may also launch into the Webinar sign up page by selecting the webinar image at the bottom of the page.

From the email you may click and launch into the new Book Fair Toolkit by selecting the links provided or clicking on the image of the login page.

1. Once at the Sign In screen, https://bookfairtoolkit.scholastic.ca/ webportal you may create a password by selecting ‘Create Password’. Please note, once requested, this password is generated and sent to you via email.

2. In the Create Password pop up box enter your email address and your account number which is indicated on your Welcome email.

3. You will receive the following message:

4. Go directly to your email where you will find the following email from [email protected]. If the email does not display, please check your Spam or Junk folder.

5. Return to the login page of the Toolkit and press continue from the Create Password pop up. Now enter the email address and password that were listed in your password email. We highly recommend that you copy and paste them into the fields to limit typing errors. Press ‘Submit’.

6. If you are affiliated with more than one school you will see the “Choose School” page where you can select the appropriate school by selecting the drop down beside the Choose School field. You will only see this page if you are affiliated with more than one school.

7. Choose your school and press “Submit”.

8. You should now be located on the ‘My Active Fairs’ page. (For those who are not at more than one school, you will automatically land on this page.)

Select the “Update Fair” Info on the most recent fair at the top of the list.

This screen will list all actively Booked fairs for the selected school. For those with more than one Fair booked, action is only required for the fair within eight weeks of the fair start date. No action is required for future Fair bookings at that time.

Select the: Update Fair Info” button.

9. At the Confirm Fair page, please update the following information:

1. Confirm Fair Dates. Please note: these are the Fair Start and Fair End Dates and do not include shipping and pick up dates. These will be discussed on your G.R.E.A.T. call with your Book Fair Consultant.

2. If necessary, you may request a Fair Start and/or End Date change.

3. Update enrollment number by entering the numbers into the appropriate fields. Please note: this is important information which will impact the number of News flyers you receive. Please be as accurate as possible.

4. Select “Save Changes”.

10. Once your Fair date information is confirmed, your G.R.E.A.T. Email Journey begins! You will receive a series of informative emails weekly designed to assist you with planning a successful Literacy Event!

When you return to the ‘My Active Fairs’ page, you will see that your Fair details have been updated and your Consultant will be in touch to schedule your G.R.E.A.T. call or feel free to reach out to your Consultant via email or phone to schedule this call at a time convenient for you. Remember: a G.R.E.A.T. discussion typically takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

11. Navigate through the other tabs located in the Toolkit. This is where you will find valuable information on:

• Past Fair History

• Book Fair Guide – G.R.E.A.T. Marketing materials to assist with running your Book Fair

• News & Promotions – What’s new on the Fair?

• FAQ – This is designed to assist in answering all your Book Fair questions

• Contact Us – Get in touch directly with your Sales Consultant! Send them an Email!

12. Also located in the Book Fair toolkit is a direct link to the Online Tools. Simply click on the link located on the blue bar beside your school name. This is where you will be able to:

1. Place your Prepaid Student Reorders.

2. Submit the Rewards Worksheet – Fast, efficient automatic guide to calculate and submit your Fair payment and Rewards earned.

3. Submit your Book Fair Evaluation – This is important. Please help us improve the Book Fair experience.

4. Place your Rewards Order – Forgot to take your Rewards from the Fair? Do you have outstanding Rewards to use up? Select from this list and order directly from your branch!
