VT and Weekly Wellbeing
VT stands for Vertical Tutoring. It is mix of year groups.
My VT tutor will help me if I have any worries. I will get to know
them very well because I will see them most days.
On Wednesdays I will have extended Vertical Tutoring (VT).
This is called Weekly Wellbeing.
I will learn about our community, myself and how to respect my
peers.
At the start of lessons I will
Line up outside quietly.
Enter the classroom.
Write the date, title and Language of the Lesson.
Open my planner onto today’s date.
Answer the ‘do it now’ questions on a mini whiteboard.
During lessons I will
Listen to the teacher
Check understanding with mini whiteboards
Give respect to anyone that gives an answer by looking at them and putting equipment down
Mark and correct any work with purple pen.Be resilient and ask for help if I need it.
At the end of lessons I will
Pack away all my equipment
Write any homework in my planner
Stand silently behind my chair
Wait for the teacher to dismiss my row
I might have a 5 minute early pass to avoid the crowds.
Lunch and break times
I can have these in the SEN base. This is a friendly and calm environment, and this is where I can meet people and make new friends.
I can also go to the canteen if I want
to buy a snack.
Food money
• I can leave class early to miss the queue at the canteen.
• We use the fingerprint machine to pay for our food and drink.
• I can put it on at the start of the week or each day.
• There are always staff on duty so I can ask for help if I need it.
Involve

• Clubs include: Drama club, Singing club, Film club
and Sports club
• They run on a Wednesday and Thursday
from 3.10pm until 4.10pm
