Do Nows• Will be completed

EVERY day in World History.

• You will complete them during the first 5-10 minutes of each class period.

• These activities will typically be done in your unit packet.

• In the event of an excused absence, make up replies do nows can be provided by the teacher.

Tardies

• Being on time is an

essential life skill.

• Make arrangements to

avoid being tardy.

• Take care of your personal

business before class.

• 3 tardies = writing

• 4 tardies = referral

• Any tardy of more than 15

minutes will result in a

referral for cutting class.

• Your grade in Social Studies classes will be

based on the Jennings High School grading

scale below:

• A 93-100%

• A- 90-92%

• B+ 87-89%

• B 83-86%

• B- 80-82%

• C+ 77-79%

• C 73-76%

• D+ 67-69%

• D 63-66%

• D- 60-62%

* A grade that is below 60% will be recorded as an F.

JHS Make-Up Work Policy

• You can make up any late or missing assignments

during the current five week grading period.

• Any assignment not made up by the end of the five

week grading period will not receive any credit for

that assignment.

• The way you make up work also makes a difference:

• If work is made up in my classroom before or after

school receives a 10% reduction on the student’s

grade on that assignment.

• If assignment is made up elsewhere there will be a

50% reduction on the student’s grade on that

assignment.

• SIS K12 is a building wide record keeping network that is used by all JHS building staff.

• You will receive a code which allows you to set up a login name and password.

• You (and your parents) can instantly check your grade and attendance online.

Important JHS Info for 2017-18• Jennings School District is a fully accredited district

with 100% of last year’s graduates placed in college, the military, or full-time employment.

• Passes- none will be written for the first and last 10 minutes of each block.

• Locker Usage- 3 times daily (before school, lunch, after school)

• Uniform/Dress Code- black or khaki pants, shorts, skirts, shirts ok. Polos and spirit t-shirts ok.
