This Week: Isaiah—The Vision of Isaiah We finally begin our long-awaited series on the grand book of Isaiah. In our overview sermon today, we consider the context, content and audience for this book. We will come to see that the message of the vision given to Isaiah during his time is the same message we need to hear today.
It may seem as if God’s people are insignificant and sinfully beyond hope, and thus calling God into question. However, the grand prophetic vision of Isaiah declares God to be almighty King, saving servant and victorious conqueror over every one and every power.
Next Week:
Isaiah—Isaiah 2
We are a church family committed to following Jesus Christ as Lord. We do this by getting to know him through his living Word, the Bible, which is why the sermon is the key part of our Sunday services. Find out more about us at www.slechurch.org.au.

Say hello PRAISE GOD FOR THE EPIC BOOK OF
ISAIAH! Praise God that we have in scripture this unique prophecy which speaks of the utter sinfulness of God’s people (and humanity), God’s terrible news that this sin must and will be punished, God’s plans to save a people to himself through a conquering King who will be victorious in the giving of his own life. Praise God for this book which speaks so powerfully of the life, ministry and work of our conquering King: Jesus!
PRAY FOR THE NEW STUDENTS COMING TO OUR CHURCH and our other ministries which are restarting—including Sunday School, SaLT, YF, Clay and SOS. Pray that our church would continue to value the teaching of God’s Word to us, that we may be challenged and grow in Christlikeness and holiness together. Pray for newcomers to be warmly welcomed into our community, and that they would find a place to call ‘home’ with us.
PRAY FOR THE MANY SICK in our church who are or continue to struggle with illness. Pray for those struggling whether short term or long term, to rest well and for full recovery. Pray for patience in this time.
PRAY FOR STEVEN TEO— a member of our church who returned to Singapore at the end of last year. He has recently been diagnosed with cancer. While we pray for full healing, we pray more so that Steven and his family will continue to trust Jesus and proclaim his excellence even in the face of death and suffering.
