Thank you for considering Wellsford Cabinetry. This Door Selection Guide will provide usefulinformation on offering, price level, minimum sizing, and dimensional details for our standard doors. While we have selected 42 of the most popular doors, others are available to suite specific needs. Should you be in a position of having to match something particular, please let us know and we willshow you what we can do to fill your requirements.

All doors are available in Red Oak, Soft Maple, Hard Maple, and Cherry. Please refer to the FinishLibrary for available finishes. Other wood species are available on an as needed basis. All door stylesare available in 1/2" standard overlay. Other overlays and insets are available as noted on theavailability chart for each door.

Please notice that the minimum size of each door is different. Minimum sizing is critical when 9" baseand wall cabinets are necessary in a design. You will find notes on how each door is handled on a 9"cabinet, and in some cases it is not available. In general, we try to hold the stile size of the standarddoor and vary the left to right overlay.

Inset and beaded inset is available on most mortise & tenon door styles. Please refer to theAvailability Chart for each door. Inset doors use the same edge profile as shown here:

Inset doors and drawer heads are sized to leave a 3/32" gap between the edge of the door and theface frame, and between butt door pairs. You will be asked to select the Inset Hinge Color. You maywish to have the hinges match the decorative hardware used in the kitchen. If so, matchingdecorative hardware is available from Wellsford Cabinetry.

You will see that some door pictures show a drawer head and others do not. Each door style isavailable with a standard drawer head shown in the back of this Selection Guide. Upgraded 5 piecedrawer heads are available for most door styles, and these are also shown. In some cases thematching drawer heads are not available in 3/8" Inset. An example of this would be the Brighton orHastings designs. In any case, 5 piece drawer heads are not recommended in Inset styles due to thesmall height of the top drawers and the resulting height of the center panel of the drawer. We suggestusing a combination of matching drawer heads and Slab, Hastings, or Brighton for all 5" high drawersin Inset applications. Usually, the mitered 5 piece drawer head framing is smaller in width than thedoor framing, and the center panel is a flat panel. Mortise & Tenon styles will have stiles that are thesame size as the standard door stile, but the top and bottom rails will be cut down in height.
