What is a Confirmed Job?Since time is of essence for most applicants looking for employment, applying randomly for jobs online can be time consuming. Thousands of hours are spent every month by job seekers across the country when they apply to unconfirmed jobs. Spending hours to complete a profile and online tests to unverified positions can only stall an appli-cant’s progress. Experts have recognized the most effective strategy when applying for employment as 20% online applying to confirmed jobs and 80% face-to-face.

Getting out there and meeting with employment contacts is an important facet of the job finding process. When applying online, apply only to confirmed jobs.

At this event, you will meet with many employers hiring in your area in-person. In addition, our staff has dedicated hundreds of hours confirming jobs for you. These jobs are presented at the Confirmed Jobs section. Visit this area and observe the openings presented. After you leave this event, apply online to confirmed jobs that offer legitimate openings. This way you can maximize your time when applying online.

Attend the Win Seminar Today 12:45 to 1:45

Learn the three keys to success here at this seminar. Also learn how to create a resume that attracts employers looking for your skills. This seminar is free to all participants.

Please dress professionally for this event! For safety purposes, no children please.

What is a Veteran? A Veteran is a person who sacrifices his or her personal goals, dreams and family, and sets aside personal ambitions to preserve the American way of life. Veterans travel to foreign soil and into hostile territories to protect those they leave behind. A veteran sacrifices holidays, family gatherings, graduations, birthdays and relationships to protect the quality of life for every American. When they return, it is our duty to ensure their transition to the civilian workforce is seam-less. Since September 11, 2001, hundreds of thousands of American active and reserve military personnel have been deployed in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Each year, a large number of these servicemen and women enter or reenter the civilian labor market. Although most Veterans acquire important skills while in active duty, being in the Military for an extended period, some lose the edge to compete for civilians jobs. Official Bureau of Labor Statistics tabulations show that the unemployment rate for Veterans increased from 11.0 percent in 2008 to 15.6 percent in 2010. This increase in veteran unemployment between 2008 and 2010 is worrisome to policy makers since it raises the pos-sibility that veterans are having difficulty transitioning to civilian jobs following deployment to Iraq or Afghanistan¹. Employment does far more than just provide some basic life requirements for our Veterans. Work does more than supply the means for meeting physical needs; it also satisfies creative urges, promote self-esteem, and provide an avenue for achievement and self-realization. Conversely, unemployment has shown to increase anxiety and depression, lead to lower self-esteem, and produce adverse physical health consequences, particularly when efforts to locate work are met with failure over a long period of time. Affects of unem-ployment for our Veterans can lead to social and economic consequences. Studies by VA Medical Center, and the Miami School of Medicine suggested that unemployed individuals made significantly more visits to their physicians, took more medications, and spent more days in bed sick than did employed individuals even though the number of diagnoses in the two groups was similar.

The National Employment Council has developed a trademarked system that will find employment for 10,000 Veterans by December 2013. We thank you for your participation.

This is your time!We live today in remarkable times. We have advanced more within the past twenty years than we have in the entire history of mankind, providing us with opportunities that were not available previously. We live in a time where a 19-year-old college drop-out can create a 60 billion dollar empire called Facebook in less than seven years. This is a time when an unemployed person can create a company like Netflix and shake a giant such as Blockbuster video at its core. We are particularly fortunate to live in the richest land that ever existed, a land of abundant opportunities for everyone. Despite this, more than ninety percent of the people you meet will not become a success. US government statistics show that ninety percent of all US citizens at retirement will need the government to support them for basic necessities such as food and shelter.

Let’s take a look at a hundred individuals at the age of twenty-five; they all believe they are going to be a success. At that age, there is a certain sparkle in their eyes and life seems like an adventure to them. But, by the time they are sixty-five, one will be rich, four will be financially independent, six will be still working, and eighty-nine will be broke. What happened to that sparkle in their eyes? What’s become of their dreams, their hopes, and their plans, and why is there such a large difference between what these individuals intended to accomplish and what they actually did?

Have you ever wondered why so many people work so hard without any significant progress? And others don’t seem to work hard yet seem to get everything they want. Everything they touch turns to gold. Have you ever noticed a person who becomes successful tends to continue to succeed? Have you noticed a person who is a failure tends to continue to fail? Successful people share three qualities that are not visibly evident, yet is the key to their success. These three qualities are within us all. The difference between those who succeed and those who do not, is that successful people activate these qualities. Without these three qualities, success is seldom achieved. With them a person can become a leader in any area. History is full of examples of ordinary people, some with disabilities who have used the three qualities to achieve extraordinary success. As a child, Sylvester Stallone was frail and had an speech impairment. He would listen to tapes for hours to improve his speech. Helen Keller, one of our most prolific writers was deaf and blind. Albert Einstein had dyslexia, which made it challenging for him to focus. He could not speak until he was four, nor read until he was seven. His teachers described him as mentally slow, unsociable and he was expelled and refused admittance to the Zurich Polytechnic School. Franklin Roosevelt had polio and could not walk, yet managed to become the 32nd presi-dent. Oprah Winfrey was told by a TV executive who fired her that she will never work in Television. Henry Ford was bankrupted twice before hitting it big with the assembly line. Thomas Edition lost his lab to fire and failed at creating the light bulb ten thousand times before creating one that worked. Colonel Saunders was rejected 1000 times before receiving a yes to sell his famous chicken recipe. The difference between those described above and the average person, is that these individuals activated the three qualities. And although most grow up learning to inhibit the three qualities, you have the power to achieve any goal you choose. We are not born limited; we learn to become it. We are surrounded by negative people who are quick to share their opinion about the world. It is said that for every one positive piece of information, on an average we receive one hundred negatives. Others who have accepted mediocrity as a way of life are eager to motivate others to think the same. A famous philosopher said: the opposite of courage is not cowardness but conformity. We conform to our en-vironment and learn to act as everyone else. And unfortunately some learn to act as the 90 percent who fail. You have within you, right now, more potential and promise than YOU even know. Let’s focus on surfacing the most powerful resources within you waiting to be unleashed. Meet us today at the Win Seminar from12:45 to 1:45 p.m.

Your admission includes 30 days of free career coaching.
