WERFAU Medical Engineering

The introduction of the latest achievements and developments in the field of medical technology:

• Complex design;

• Construction and «turnkey» equipment of clean rooms.

Projects:

• Realized.

Krasnoyarsk Regional Oncology Center;

Murmansk Regional Perinatal Center;

National Oncology Center (Grozny), others.

• In process.

Krasnoyarsk Regional Clinical Hospital (~150000 sq. m.);

Center for Palliative Care (St. Petersburg);

Lahta Center (Gazprom Tower, St. Petersburg);

About 15 others.

Building Lifecycle in the Single Model BIM (Building Informational Modelling)

• The process of collective creation and use of information about the object that forms

the basis for all decisions throughout its lifecycle (Planning, Design, Construction and

Operation);

Page 4: Werfau. Effective Design of Medical Facilities

What is BIM• BIM is a 3D information model, according to which Investors, Customer, Designers, Contractors, the

Operating organization work.

Benefits of BIM to Customer:

Accuracy. Maximum clarity on all components of the building, its equipment, the organization of the construction process, etc.;

Clarity. Visualization of the construction and development of the budget, trust and real control of project’s schedule;

Reducing the cost of construction. Virtual simulation, collision search before entering the construction site, reducing the error of calculations of materials, control of Plan-Fact;

Reducing the cost of operation. Having all the information about the power and performance, interactive monitoring of systems.

Primary BIM Results

• The proposed solutions are the most consistent, no mistakes in the Project;

• Clarity of cost of materials, quantity and duration of work in the Constructionstage;

• Cost of operation is calculated;

• Monitoring of equipment and information of scheduled maintenance in single place.

Turnkey ready clean rooms

Medical sterile premises are equipped with

• Equipment for laminar air distributionand sterilization;

• Ceiling with integral lighting;

• Surgical light-emitting-diode lampswith integrated HD-camera;

• Medical gases supply panels;

• Special antibacterial HPL wall panels;

• Special antistatic, electricallyconductive floor covering;

• Vacuum medical doors;

• Ventilation and air conditioning;

• Automation and manual supervisionof air ventilation and conditioningsystems.

Advantages:• Comfortable and safely controlled climate;• Minimum noise;• Chemical treatment aggressiveness resistance;• Minimal pathogenic concentrations in the sterile field;• Seamless integration of equipment into the ceiling.

Automatic and manual doors

Antibacterial HPL wall panels (stainless steel, zinc plated steel, glass)

Hermetic metal ceiling medical equipment for laminar separation and air sterilization

Due to the round-shaped base the laminar sterilizer provides

• almost absolutely non-turbulent air flow;• 30% saving on the volume of fresh air in the conditioning system, thus saving operating costs,

electric power and heating;• in comparison with other base shapes – a wider sterile field for all the participants of the

surgery.

16

To ensure sterile air supply to the ORs and sterile rooms we install round-shaped innovativemedical equipment for laminar separation and air sterilization.

Clean rooms’ doorsDoors for clean rooms are manufactured of high qualitymaterials under the modern technologies and representa rigid structure, eliminating distortion of the door leaf.

The door leaf is solid, smooth and resistant to thechemicals used in disinfection and hygiene treatment.

The doors are available in different versions, bothin terms of design and functionality and purpose:

• Automatic doors

• Manual doors

• X-ray protective doors

Materials used for door manufacturing:

• HPL

• Stainless steel

• Glass
