Day 1 Bali - Pemuteran (Lunch: The Menjangan Restaurant )

The West Bali Break

In the morning set off to the north of the island. Pass through Pacung village with its views over the rice fields and valley.

From here follow the winding roads that lead into Bedugul, an area in the central highlands famous for its stunning

beauty and three lakes. Stroll around the traditional Candi Kuning market where many fruits and vegetables are for sale

including sweet boiled corn, a local favourite.

From the market, take a short drive to the picturesque Ulun Danu Temple, built on small islands in the serene Lake

Beratan. This 17th century iconic temple is dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess of the lake. The smooth reflective

surface of the surrounding water creates the impression that the temple is floating.

Continue the journey through Singaraja to see the tree-lined streets and surviving Dutch colonial buildings. The city

served as the colonial capital for Bali and the Lesser Sunda Islands from 1849-1953, and still retains traces of Dutch,

Islamic and Chinese influences.

From Singaraja continue to The Menjangan set in 382 hectares within the Bali Barat National Park. This intimate boutique

resort is your home for the two nights. The area is a perfect nature retreat where deer can often be seen wandering

onto the beach.

Day 2 Pemuteran (Breakfast: Hotel )

The West Bali Break

Wake in the quiet surroundings of the park. After breakfast, proceed to Bajul Bay for approximately two hours of

snorkelling. This coastal area offers possibly the best snorkelling opportunities anywhere in Bali. Bajul Bay is blessed with

the same nutrient rich currents that rush past Menjangan Island; allowing this part of the reef to be covered in

remarkable coral growth and marine life. The rest of the day is free to enjoy the resort with your family.

Day 3 Pemuteran (Breakfast: Hotel )

The West Bali Break

Check out at midday and then set off back to the south of the island. Stop at a viewpoint at Mayong to photograph

the vast views of rice fields and plantations. A little further stop in Belimbing village to take a coffee and stretch your legs

with a walk through the rice fields. From Belimbing it will take about two and a half hours to drive back to South Bali.
