Dusting radiators or the grills of base-board heaters once a year will increaseroom temperature and improve thequality of indoor air.

Signing a maintenance contract for anindividual furnace in order to maintainits efficiency will also allow you to real-ize savings of up to 8 percent. For a gasfurnace, choose one with burners thatlight automatically without a pilot light;you will save up to 1,200 KWh a year.
