Bendix to open new actuation facility as part of strategic reassessment of manufacturing operations 2010-05-21

Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC (BSFB) announced a realignment strategy .late last week to its North America manufacturing operations that includes its intent Fresno, Calif.-based Di-Pro, Inc.

Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake LLC – the joint venture of Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC and Dana Corporation – has commenced the transfer of operations from Di-Pro to a new Bendix

manufacturing facility in Acuña, Mexico. Total new emp. 200

Di-Pro, Inc. is a manufacturer and distributor of spring brake actuators and brake chambers to the heavy duty trucking industry. Production will be moved to Acuña, Mexico in one of Amistad

Industrial Developers 68,000 sq.ft. facility. The move is consistent with the company’s overall strategic plan to optimize their goal of maintaining lean and cost-effective manufacturing processes

Con el deseo de emprender proyectos conjuntos que reactive el comercio y sector turístico, este mediodía en la presidencia municipal, sostuvieron una reunión el alcalde Alberto Aguirre Villarreal y el mayor de Del Río, Texas, Roberto Fernández.

Consideró que un tema pendiente con la vecina ciudad es la posibilidad de un tercer puente internacional, que genere desarrollo al sector maquilador, con tiempos más rápidos y un mejor servicio.

Por su parte, el mayor Roberto Rodríguez, expresó su deseo de que en este acercamiento acordasen trabajar como comunidad, sobre todo, en el ámbito de atracción turística y del proyecto de un nuevo puente internacional.

Entre las fortalezas de la vecina ciudad citó el aeropuerto y el proyecto carretero Ports To Plains, éste último que consideró importante darle seguimiento.
