Land Act, 1933-1953.ORDER IN COUNCIL.
Corr. No. 1882/54.WHEREAS by section 33 of the Land Act, 1933-1953, it is made lawful for the Governor to directthat any reserve shall vest in and be held by anymunicipality, road board, or other person or per-sons to be named in the order in trust for thelike or other public purposes to be specified insuch order; and whereas it is deemed expedientthat reserve No. 23974 (Broome Lot 620) shouldvest in and be held by the Broorne Road Board intrust for the purpose of a Fuel Depot: Now, there-fore, His Excellency the Governor, by and withthe advice and consent of the Executive Council,doth hereby direct that the beforementioned reserveshall vest in and be held by the Broome Road Boardin trust for the purpose aforesaid, subject never-theless to the powers reserved to him by section 37of the said Act.

Rules of the Barristers' Board.WHEREAS by the Legal Practitioners Act, 1893-1950, the Barristers' Board thereby constituted isempowered from time to time to make and pre-scribe such rules as to the Board may seem meetfor the matters and purposes in the Act mentioned;and whereas it is desirable to amend the rules ofthe Board as published in the Government Gazette(No. 26) of the 28th May, 1954: Now, therefore, theBoard, by virtue of the powers vested in it by andunder the Act, doth hereby, at a meeting held onthe 18th day of June, 1954, make and publish thefollowing amendment to the said rules.

IT is hereby notified, for general information, that the areas scheduled hereunder are available for selection under Part V.of the Land Act, 1933-1953, and the regulations appertaining thereto, subject to the provisions of the said Act.
Applications must be lodged at the Department of Lands and Surveys, Perth, not later than the date specified, butmay be lodged before such date, if so desired.
All applications lodged on or before such date will be treated as having been received on the closing day, and if thereare more applicants than one for any block, the application to be granted will be determined by the Land Board. Shouldany lands remain unselected such will continue available until applied for or otherwise dealt with.
If a Land Board sitting becomes necessary, the applicants for the blocks will be duly notified of the date, time, and placeof the meeting of the Board, and there shall be an interval of at least seven days between the closing date and the sittingof the Board.
