understanding and support with this matter.
Braith wins Nationals! We are pleased to let you all know that Braith
achieved first place in the 100m at Nationals.
That means he is the fastest runner in his age
group in Australia.
Report from Canberra Last week Stage 3 students went to Canberra
for a 3-Day excursion. We visited the War
Memorial where two of our leaders, Lachlan
Martin and Grace Williams laid a wreath in
remembrance of those who had fought and lost
their lives for our freedom. We also visited the
Dinosaur Museum and learnt that the egg did
indeed come before the chicken.
The next day we went to Parliament House and
saw our leaders in action! This was followed by a
visit to our National Art Gallery. Later that night
was the event everyone had been waiting for…
Questacon! Students participated in a simulated
Earthquake, watched lightning appear before
their eyes and some conquered their fears and
did the giant slide.
The last day we went to the Australian Institute
of Sport where many students were inspired to
become Australia’s next Olympians.
A big thank you to all teachers who attended
and a huge congratulations to the students who
went as their exemplary behaviour was
complimented by many people in Canberra! You
can see pictures from our adventures on the
back page.
Kiss and Leave Please remember we are a ‘Kiss & Drop Off’
School. We encourage you to drop your
children off at the school gate without entering
the grounds unless you need to go to the office.
In the afternoons parents/carers/young children
etc. are to wait outside the gates until the bell
goes, unless you need to go to the office.
