For Our Guests Becoming a Christian...We believe that it is by grace that we are saved through our response of faith, believing that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died to take the penalty of our sins on Himself, and that He was raised from the dead on the third day by the power of God. God calls people to believe in Jesus as their Savior, repent of sin in their life, make a confession of faith that Jesus is Lord and be joined to Christ and added to His church by being immersed (baptized) in His name. Having made this response of faith to God, all sin is forgiven and we receive the gift of God's Holy Spirit to live in us and to empower us to live for Jesus. All those who come to faith in Him may request immersion at any time. Becoming a Member at Westside...All believers, who by faith in Jesus have been baptized through immersion for forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit, may place their membership at Westside. You may express your desire to one of our elders or ministers, or mark the appropriate space on our visitor card. Members here are under the spiritual care of our shepherds and committed to service and full participation with the family of God at this congregation. Responding...You may request immersion (baptism), re-commit your life, or seek prayers on your behalf by going forward during the time of response or by contacting an elder, a minister, or any member of this congregation at any time. Communion...Communion at Westside is open to all believers who have gathered with us to honor Jesus. For Our Guests

Becoming a Christian...We believe that it is by grace that we are saved

through our response of faith, believing that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died to take the penalty of our sins on Himself, and that He was raised from the dead on the third day by the power of God.

Becoming a Member at Westside...All believers, who by faith in Jesus

have been baptized through immersion for forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit, may place their membership at Westside. You may express your desire to one of our elders or ministers, or mark the appropriate space on our visitor card. Members here are under the spiritual care of our shepherds and committed to service and full participation with the family of God at this congregation.

Responding...You may request immersion (baptism), re-commit your life, or

seek prayers on your behalf by going forward during the time of response or by contacting an elder, a minister, or any member of this congregation at any time.

Communion...Communion at Westside is open to all believers who have

gathered with us to honor Jesus.

Bible Study…Join us on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30p.m. and Sundays from 10:30a.m.-11:30a.m. for a variety of topics in #601.

The Case for Christ: All 7th-12th grade students are invited to our Wednesday Night Class on The Case for

Christ by Lee Strobel. This study series is about the evidence that supports our faith in Jesus. We have free copies of the book for the first 12 teens who come on Wednesday night. Class is from 6:30-7:30 in room #604.

Leadership Class: We will be offering a leadership training class for our teens and college students who would like to discover a biblical model for leadership, grow in their spiritual gifts and put these into practice through ministry. Leadership class is for students who have already committed their lives to Christ and want to get more involved in ministry and service. If your teens would like to participate, please have them contact Bryan Fojtasek.

Journey Groups: We are starting up our student-led small groups on Sunday September 11 from 5-7pm. Journey Groups are for our junior high and high school students who want to be part of a small group community. Journey groups are about growing in your faith, praying for one another and enjoying fellowship. Dinner is served from 5-6 and the small group discussion goes from 6-7. If you would like to sign up to host a journey group in your home, please talk to Bryan Fojtasek.

Elders Corner...We believe God is actively preparing someone to be our next preaching minister. He's been working on that man, on his family, on his church...getting him ready to accept this new role and be effective in it. He is "calling" that man here...and calling us to recognize and receive the one he has chosen for us. We need to be prayerful that God will let us see with His eyes so we can discern His calling and understand His will. This process will require all of us to listen to God carefully, prayerfully, humbly, and obediently. Because God has poured out on us the gift of the Holy Spirit, we trust that the spirit will lead us and guide this process so that we can be an effective outpost of the kingdom in a world that so badly needs new life.
