Greetings! We look forward to your participation at the upcoming Women’s Foodservice Forum Annual Leadership Development Conference. Join us April 2-5, 2006, at the Wyndham Anatole in Dallas, Texas, and take your career to the next level. Since WFF’s inception, we have led the way in the creation of a viable and engaged workforce and workplace for women by providing tools, information and resources to our members and the industry. This focus will continue at the 2006 event guided by the Roadmap to Results, WFF’s strategic plan in action. The Roadmap to Results guides our programs and services to address four key milestones: WFF Vitality, Executive Readiness, Organizational Readiness and More Women in Top Jobs.

One of the most important events that support the Executive Readiness milestone is our Annual Leadership Development Conference. The theme for this year’s conference is Elevating Women Leaders. The general sessions, workshops and exclusive programs will deliver relevant content with a focus on four of our ten core competencies: visioning and setting direction, communicating and listening, building high-performing teams and driving for results.

We have a line-up of highly respected industry and thought leaders who will share their viewpoints and experiences with you as well as opportunities for interactive dialogue.

As you will discover, the content reflects feedback we have received from our stakeholders that attendees are seeking tangible, measurable results from their conference participation or a return on investment (ROI). While this is an evolutionary process, we are confident that you will be pleased with enhancements to our signature Network with the Leaders event, focused workshops targeted at executive and emerging leaders, Executive Forum – a new program for executives aimed at candid dialogue on career growth, an expanded schedule of workshops and the return of the very popular ALL-STAR Day.

The result of your strategic participation in our conference program will result in your personal roadmap to identify what you and your organization can do to elevate your career. On behalf of the WFF Board of Directors and the 2006 conference planning committee, we look forward to seeing you there.

welcome

Dr. Bertice Berry is a renowned sociologist, author, lecturer and educator. “When you walk with purpose,” says Dr. Berry, “you collide with destiny!” As a former college lecturer at Kent State University, Dr. Berry realized by using humor in her lectures to address such difficult subjects as racism and sexism she was making a profound impact. She has created a niche as both a gifted speaker with a comic edge and a comic with a serious message.

Dr. Berry is also an award-winning entertainer, lecturer and comedienne. She graduated magna cum laude from Jacksonville University and subsequently earned a Ph.D. in Sociology from Kent State University. Dr. Berry was the host and co-executive producer of her own nationally syndicated talk show, The Bertice Berry Show. She’s been featured on numerous other television programs, including appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, BET Live with Tavis Smiley, and more recently, on ABC’s 20/20.

Dr. Berry is also the best-selling author of an inspirational memoir, I’m On My Way, But Your Foot Is On My Head. Her first work of fiction, Redemption Song, is also a best seller and has been praised by critics. Dr. Berry has graciously donated all of the royalties from the sales of her books to organizations that help families in need. Despite all of her honors and achievements, Dr. Berry is most proud of becoming the “instant mother” to her sister’s four young children. She lives in Savannah, Georgia, where she is active in the community.

the wff executive

forum

(Attendance at The Executive Forum is by personal invitation. Executive level attendees will be contacted following registration to participate.)

The WFF is dedicated to elevating women leaders at all career levels, and that means not only sharing our knowledge and experiences, but celebrating our achievements. That’s why we want to hear from you…

If you have been promoted in the last year, please be sure to let us know on the registration form. Your accomplishments may be recognized as part of our Real Women, Real Stories recognition program.

The WFF is pleased to provide executive women and their companies the opportunity for dialogue on key issues including decision-making processes, potential career and lifestyle modifications, and the consequences of choices executive women must consider in any future career move. This candid exchange will expose attendees to resources and options for growth through the executive ranks to the board room.
